My friend came down from Arkansas this past weekend and brought his bike so I felt I needed to show him our good roads.

We left out at about 5am, bikes on the trailer.

Didn't really start out on the right foot. On the bikes and out of Bandera Tx at 7am. State Trooper at 7:18am just past Tarpley Tx. 79 in a 70, nice opportunity I thought for a warning, nah, ticketed us both.

Monday morning in Leakey Tx, I guess recouping after weekend losses. People tube the river there and that can't be done without beer.

Overall we had a great day riding beautiful country. We covered about 270 miles. Bandera up through the 3 twisted sisters, through Hunt, through Kerrville, and then back into Bandera. I highly recomend this ride to anyone in the area. All pictures taken with my HTC Evo.

awesome pics! [up]

but I am a little confused [confused]
why did you have to trailer the bikes to where you started your ride, why did you not get on your bikes at 5 am and start riding?

Just for comfort.

It's just highways from my house to Bandera so we were able to cut out those 130 not so fun miles.

I think I could ride twisties all day but I hate my seat going straight for any length of time.

I hear you on the boring highway miles. My buddies like to ride from Hood to Austin and honestly it's just annoying, no scenery, nothing special, just road. IF i had the option i would probably trailer out to the twisties myself
