I have an 03 XB9S with a salvaged title that I would like to sell. The bike runs great and the frame is perfect with no dents, leaks, or scratches. I picked it up from an insurance company with plans to replace all of the damaged parts and apply for a rebuilt title. I have completed all of the mission except for getting the rebuilt title. Have too many hobbies and have lost interest. I will be happy to e-mail pics and full description of DIY mods if anyone is interested. I live in south Alabama and work at a Harley dealership, so I have the ability to professionally crate the motorcycle for shipment if necessary. PM me if interested.

Sorry for the different posts on the pics but I couldn't get all of them to fit without the ad getting in the way. See description below:

There is no damage on the bike now as I have replaced the damaged parts already. I replaced the headlamps, headlamp housing (black), flyscreen, front fender, one of the footpegs, brake and clutch levers (black), and the bars have been changed to Pro Taper Contour dirt bike bars in the Ricky Carmichael bend.

I have done the cylinder head breather mod, cheese grater eliminator, replaced all of the turn signals with Kellerman mini LEDs, installed a headlamp grille off of a XB9SX, CRG hindsight mirror, and drilled the inner airbox cover. The bike has a Buell Race ECM, Buell Race muffler, and a high flow air cleaner.

I really dont know how the bike got into totaled status, as I rode it home the day I purchased it. I have rode the bike back and forth to work to keep it running, while avoiding the cops, and have put nearly 1,000 miles on it since I bought it. The bike has around 14,300 miles on it now and has been fully serviced with Amsoil Synthetic motor oil, and Belray transmission fluid.

I have painted all of the plastics flat black, and the only issue I know of is the front tire leaks down after about two or three days. I want $2000.00 for the bike as is. I also have a full set of brand new black plastics, brand new frame pucks that I havent installed yet, a brand new factory Buell Select gel seat, a brand new set of Pirelli Diablo Corsa 3 tires, and several miscellaneous Buell parts; i.e. turn signals, header pipe, assorted plastics in different colors, etc... I will include everything with the bike for $2800.00.

The motorcycle is located in Southeast Alabama, but I work at a Harley dealership so I am capable of crating the motorcycle for shipping if needed.

Man, it sure would help you out to apply for that title.Great bike, sweet price. Don't know about other states, but here in MO, salvages are a royal pain. gotta have documentation for every damn tiny little piece you've replaced, highway patrol inspections that you have to book like a month in advance, then if you aren't 10 mins early they make you reschedule.etc.etc.etc.

doesn't bother me at all to have a "prior salvage", (my bike is)but a current salvage is a deal breaker for me.

In California salvage titles are no big deal. You can only get liability insurance on them but the DMV is cool with them being driven. No inspections here. Too bad I wasn't closer, sounds like a good deal.

303xb I will get the pics posted of the engine as soon as I can. As for the crating and shipping, I will not charge anything to crate the bike up. As for shipping charges, you can google motorcycle shipping companies and almost all of them will provide free shipping quotes. The zip code for the bike location is 36301. They have so many options it is easier for you to talk to them and select your shipping preferences. Hope this helps.
