Currently I have some dunlop d208a sportmax tires on my 05 xb12r. I can't get traction at all in the corners with them so I was wondering if anyone knew of a tire that heats up real easy that would work out. Since I'm in wyoming at 6000+ feet elevation they need to be able to heat up real quick. Not too worried about mileage.

I would say nothing but Pilot Powers. The Diablo Corsa III is a great tire also but for the money you can't beat the Pilot Powers.

it's been yrs since I've last ridden last was when I was almost 16yrs ago so... but for the way I ride <no track days or drag strip> they are fine they have a dual compound "hard" in the center for milage and "softer" on the sides for cornering they seem to come up to temp fairly quick as well after a few miles I feel comfortable getting on it when that wild hair finds me and sends signals to my right wrist and says twist here to go fast.

Just take a look at the Rosso on the website. My Pirelli/Metzeler rep told me lots about them and said that they will are supposed to be an excellent wearing/gripping street tires. I am not saying the Corsa's are worse, I am just saying that in you situation the Rosso's would be better pic because they will warm up quicker and have more streeteable wear characteristics.

well i have found over the years that everybody likes something a lil different. i run thru tires about every 6 to 7 weeks. [that isnt from burn outs just from riding on the street.] anyway i have found that when the temp is cold you know 30 and below that the battle ax 014 hook up nice and they feel pretty good up to about 75-80F but anything above that they get really greasy to me. so you are just going to have to look for yourself everybody like it diff.
