Removing heated grips

I have a 08 ulysses and want to change the handle bars for some lower ones, but I want to keep the heated handle grips.. Any tricks on how to get these off without messing them up..

First unplug everything.

The left grip has two torx screws holding it on. Fold back the grip near the electrical controls and unscrew the torx screws. It will then slide off.

The right grip has to be removed by taking the electrical controls off the bar, then the grip will slide off.
