Ok I bought a 03 XB9R off of ebay for 3300.00. The person I bought it from has put a aftermarket exhaust, the race ecm, and a K&N air filter. My question is what else do I need to do to help this bike run better or even a little quicker? Some one said a sprocket and belt update and the oil pump gear..The seller told me he didnt know if that was done to it already. Is there a way to look to find out if it was done or not, or even if it needs it?

Check the part number on the belt if there is one. other than that there really isnt a way to tell without pulling service history. As for the oil pump gear, considering the work involved in putting it in versus what you gain, I dont think its worth it, but thats me.
Airbox delete, oil catch can with breather re-route, cut white emissions wire.
All of these mods are explained on here at one point or another. Search for them and try them out.

I try....
This is the first time I've heard of "cut white emissions wire." Is this something that is applicable to a '04 XB12R also? Thanks.
