[confused] Does anyone know where I can get an aftermarket tail light similar to this that costs less than $411 USD + S&H? I have an 07 Buell xb12s

It's more than I want to spend (and I cant read anything but english)

that's the cheapest one out there for this kind of tailsection...[smirk]

there's another manufacturer but they are not as nice and more expensive.

That is the only downfall with the S model they don't make any decent replacement tail sections. Ermax makes a great one for the R. That is what I have on my bike and love it.

Hi JWolk,

that tail section is special for SOC and only they sell it:(
That part is also lots of $ painted, originally it's sold unpainted in glassfibre and SOC does not sell it painted.

It is sold without position lights, but licensplate holder is in the price.
If you wish to know more of anything, regarding this piece or anything else i can tell you what you want to know.. just mail me.

Cheers
;)

I'm frustrated. I decided I want the Hillbilly brake light assembly, but I don't know how to get one.

I'm in the California, and I am finding it very hard to find after market parts from retailers, and especially retailers that speak English. Argh! [mad]

The fit is not spot on. There are some gaps between the lights and the glassfibre housing. The position lights are Kellerman Rhobus. This is the white glass version of the S.O.C. It fits better with the Rhobus which are white also. The position lights are very very bright compaired to the typical mini lights from Kellerman, Rhombus offer another level of quality. This is an expensive combo though, SOC and Kellerman.
What you might be interested in also. A seat cowl does not work with this tail light. The SOC light housing is bent (molded) slightly upwards so the seat is closer to the light housing. The seat cowls will be in a very awkward angle in there are several cm's that differ to make this fit (impossible). I looked to rework my carbon part to fit. But it will not work, i had to give it up! I bought carbon mudguard and seat cowl to suit each other optically. The seat cowl is just to forget here.
I asked the reseller regarding this. They told me there were none avaible at the moment and they had no plans to release a suiting seat cowl either. If that is a problem or not is up to you! Just wanted to inform you.

Like that above? Like mine? Well, i guess you'll have to look up speedofcolor at google. All oher info is stated above. If you like to know more, just ask and i tell you. It is easy to mount.

It is quite easy to just modify your existing tailpiece without excessive cost. Use standard 6mm bright led's with the rubber 'grommet'. Drill 8mm holes on the metal, insert the led's and connect to the existing circuits. Just make sure that you use the 1k resistor otherwise you will ‘blow’ the led's and they are quite costly [we pay ZAR 6.50 per each].

If anyone is interested I made this piece for myself. I work in a custom shop, and can make these opon request. Paint is dupont and baked.

Thanks, the leds are blinding, just the way I want it. :D I integrated the turn signals, wich are also bright as hell. the left and right lights are the running lights, and all three come on even brighter when the brake is applied.
