anyone attempted this mod on any xb platform? uly was totaled. . . wanna use the motor for a custom build w/out the myriad of sensors and wiring and such. . .looking for a challenge i guess

I remember this coming up at one point. I believe the general concensus was that there's no reason you shouldn't be able to make it work since it's basically the same motor as a sportster and they had carbs forever(possibly still?). Searching for pieces from a tube framed Buell would probably be a good start.

i heard you can get everything you need from s&s and i spoke to them a while back for a softail there tech support was very helpful good luck
