Nice lookin buell! The lower fairing and belly pan is the only way to go with an 1125. IMO.

07-20-2010, 06:45 AM

here are a few of mine at various stages in it's life. not in order by any means... but I am sure you can figure out which way it looks now based off of mods.I am soon going to have it custom painted... so it will look a lot different.

07-20-2010, 12:55 PM
mine will soon hopefully have a hawk exhaust and race ecm...

what colors are you thinking for yours agfish?? i don't recommend pearl orange... real expensive lol... especially when the bike falls in the trailer and ruins your tail... my bike now has the black tail on it again...

07-20-2010, 02:32 PM
I was thinking of a blue color...but not solid blue. I kinda want a design. I am drawing up plans at home with photoshop right now... but nothing finalized as of yet.

09-04-2010, 09:21 AM
would the lower faring fit on the cr ? were did you find hte belly pan?

09-04-2010, 10:26 AM
If you are looking for just a belly pan for track days, EBR has one that fits the OEM muffler.

Belly pan (http://www.ebracing.com/shop/product22.html)

If you looking for the whole lower fairing Ilmberger makes a nice one. It is VERY expensive though.

Lower fairing (http://www.srwmoto.com.au/body-and-look/ilmberger-lower-fairing-for-1125r-and-1125cr/prod_367.html)

Makaley, What do you think of the HPE exhaust?

09-11-2010, 12:42 AM
The HPE is awesome!!

09-11-2010, 09:14 AM
It looks amazing, but every video on youtube has messed up sound, and being a full race system I'd love you know what it sounds like

09-12-2010, 07:40 PM
Heres mine, before the Barker exhaust and ECM. And if you are still undecided on exhaust go with the Barker IMO.

09-12-2010, 11:59 PM
Thanks GMan, I've heard great things about that pipe, i like the thought of a dual exit, under body exhaust. the barker is not as crazy loud as the D&D is it? i don't think anything is.

RT Performance
09-13-2010, 12:14 AM
look at american sport bike surprisingly enough the barker is one of the quietest without the quite core.
Still Loven mine just turned 9000 miles last week

09-13-2010, 10:51 AM
Update with the Barker Exhaust, man this thing is loud even with the 1 1/2 QC. Noticeable power increase, will power front tire up at ~5k in first.

09-13-2010, 11:37 AM
I need to clean it again in a bad way.

Just got my fairings back from paint...New paint courtesy of Adamec H/D Buell service techs...God Bless 'em! How does it look?

09-16-2010, 10:33 PM
i gotta say im lovin' the blue. and the catalyst composites. and the blue shock. and the homemade exhaust, you've got a sweet bike man. any particular reason you didn't shoot the airbox, tail, and fender? is that just to break up the colors? looks very nice. gotta appriciate the hard work [up]

^ sick sick sick! did you buy an xb air box cover (i see the mesh) or did you mod the 1125r box? what do you think of the bar ends and the pitbull stand, looking into all of them at the moment?

10-04-2010, 01:51 PM
Hey Rebel where did you get the red rim stripes from, or is that factory on the CR?

freight dog
10-06-2010, 07:21 PM
Thanks for the compliments! The bar ends, I like but they are not better for rearview than the stock mirrors.

The PitBull is awesome. It is actually a standard size one, and I scratched my swingarm first time I tried to use it. I spread it out with a bottle jack and it works great. I would suggest the wider Buell specific one, because you can still adjust the ends in to work with a standard bike.

Yes it is an XB cover. I simply ordered a plain white one without "buell" logos and it came with the screen.

I am on the road at the moment but I will get more pics when I am home. You can't see all the carbon fiber or make out the ASV levers too well in those pics. I am working on getting an exhaust on it this winter. Probably Deans RT-3.

10-06-2010, 11:46 PM
freight, youre my goddamn hero. [up]on deans pipe, hes a good guy, the bike looks amazing, the pitbull for the uly and the 1125r is the wider one right? your doing the same thing i dream for my bike, im doing the carbon fiber pulley cover and the other covers on the bike and possibly the frame and swing arm covers to tie it all together. i like you bike well done sir also looking into pazzo levers, basicaly the same as your avs. the shortys are deffinatly needed on these bikes, ive pinched my ring finger about a dozen times lol

10-06-2010, 11:49 PM
dude and you got the stator and clutch covers :D[up] do you read my mind or what?!

freight dog
10-07-2010, 10:09 PM
Thanks again. You are correct about the pitbull for the 1125 being wider. I would also suggest replacing the stock spools. I bought anodized aluminum ones from Vortex, 6mm IIRC. They are cupped to help align the stand, and of course more trick than the plastic ones. They are reasonable too at $24/pr. Al at American Sport Bike also has some made for the 1125 that I think are less,

You are absolutely right about the shorty levers. I wasn't sure when I ordered them, but from the moment I mounted 'em, no regrets.

One other thing you can't see, $92 worth of black aluminum M6 x 1.00 fairing bolts from Pro Bolt. There are about 50 of those bastards all over the bike. The aluminum ones look better, don't get scratched the first time you take them off, and weigh about 1/3 of the stock steel ones. I did go back to stock with the ones that hold the rear brake master cylinder because they came undone and I am not sure the aluminum will hold the stress of foot brake application.

Those engine covers are worth every penny. They don't have the gloss finish of the other CF but they are tough as steel and lighter than aluminum. They actually "klink" like metal if you tap them.

Lastly, I have been waiting til winter and the exhaust to install it, but I managed to pick up one of the Ohlins TTX shocks American Sport Bike had on sale this spring. I know, I'm a bastard...

10-07-2010, 10:38 PM
... you make me sick. lol so when you want to return to stock to sell just give me the carbon lmao jk, i never really thought about the aluminum bolts thats wild, the covers are on my mind alot lately i just needed someone to pioneer the mods im looking into, great looking bike, makes me wish i had a few k to play around with, like the lotto would be sick, id put it al into my bike lol

10-08-2010, 05:53 AM
Freight that thing is nice!!! Did u just find a set of 04 9r wheels or did u have those done urself?

freight dog
10-08-2010, 06:21 PM
They are the Buell wheels. I had no idea what they were intended for, I just found a part number for white wheels. I sourced them from Lakeshore HD. 20% off and free shipping over $200 or $300. They were about $550 shipped for the set. When you can get a set of wheels for less than half of what Suzuki sells one wheel for, why not?

G0110.02A8BYJ Wheel Front Sky White

G0309.02A8AYJ Wheel Rear Sky White.

Of course, I spent a bit more on an extra rear pulley, finned front brake rotor and mounting kit from Erik Buell Racing and rear rotor and mounting bolt kits from American Sport Bike to make wheel swaps more painless. Well worth it. So I have an extra set of wheels ready to mount tires and then just swap out when I am ready.

freight dog
10-08-2010, 06:29 PM
Yeah, I haven't added it up yet, but if I were to go with a full exhaust I am sure I will have spent more on the bike than I paid for it. I always wanted to do that...

10-27-2010, 10:31 PM
I finally got pics of mine after Eric Buell Racing mods, including full fiberglass fairing, exhaust, EBR ecm, steering damper, undertail, carbon fiber stator and clutch covers, black taillight with integrated brake light and turn signals, lithium race battery, and k&n air filter. What do ya think?http://www.buellxb.com/buell_images/6538_20101027162246_L.jpghttp://www.buellxb.com/buell_images/6538_20101027162114_L.jpghttp://www.buellxb.com/buell_images/6538_20101027162029_L.jpg

10-27-2010, 10:53 PM
Very clean bike texasroadranger! Do you have an after market tail faring, cause it looks really aggressive? ( taller )

10-27-2010, 11:54 PM
well... i have one of these now too!

freaking awesome!

mirros and blinkers so far, but a few more changes to come yet though! :)

10-28-2010, 08:18 AM
I am having clutch issues at the moment, but while I cant ride, I figured I should update the bikes looks

I am going to try to re-wire the headlights so that the outside lights become blinkers, and run bar ends (taking off the stock ones)

I am also planning on painting the plastics over the winter but still havent decided on a design yet.

10-28-2010, 08:57 AM
I would love to get a CR but if i got a R it would have to be the white and blue and would NEED a new seat. The stock seat is like sitting on a would plank.

10-28-2010, 09:03 AM
hey fish what colors are you thinking of painting them, because im having some trouble matching the diamond blue with and other color other than black, i dont mind the black and blue theme i just wish the blue matched another color better lol

10-28-2010, 01:47 PM
I was thinking blue, maybe color matching the diamond blue, and adding a silver color possibly... I could take the bike apart and get the frame and swingarm powdercoated black which would make things waaay easier. Then get the hero blue wheels for it. I was going for the black and blue combo, but sill no real design plans as of yet.

10-28-2010, 09:52 PM
Yeah, it is taller. If you look closer, my tail is actually mounted over 2 inches higher. Look at complete tail section and tank. They are from www.trojanhorse-adrenalinemoto.com from out of the UK. It is the solo seat conversion kit. My wife hates it,lol...

10-29-2010, 06:58 AM
Yeah, it is taller.

Thought it looked taller, but was thinking maybe it was just an optical illusion and that it just looked that way because you were missing your rear fender.

10-29-2010, 07:53 AM

Just a bike I saw over on badweb

10-29-2010, 10:41 PM
hey fish what colors are you thinking of painting them, because im having some trouble matching the diamond blue with and other color other than black, i dont mind the black and blue theme i just wish the blue matched another color better lol

One guy on BadWeb painted his "Orange Crush". It looks sweet on the Diamond Blue frame. Several have done white plastics on the blue frame, even my dealer did it when they were sitting on an '08 before they could get '09's and people kept asking for a white one. It looks awesome to use the original "Buell" badge from the black '08 on white plastic with the Diamond Blue frame. Personally, if I had an '08, I would be looking for any excuse to go bare metal like the race bikes. Another guy had his painted up like a WWII fighter with rivets, bullet holes, nose art and oil stains. VERY cool.

I finally got pics of mine after Eric Buell Racing mods, including full fiberglass fairing, exhaust, EBR ecm, steering damper, undertail, carbon fiber stator and clutch covers, black taillight with integrated brake light and turn signals, lithium race battery, and k&n air filter. What do ya think?

Nice bike and great mods. The EBR exhaust has to be the sweetest one there is. The lightweight battery would be awesome too. I am looking at a new battery for the spring since mine won't charge more than 12.2V after my VR and stator issues. That is a whole lot of cheddar for a battery though... The Adrenaline Moto tail is another nice mod. I think I would like it better with the Free Spirits pod kit rather than the full fairing. It's just me but I think the 1125's look better half faired, especially with an aftermarket exhaust. They look stripped down for business like that IMO.

11-01-2010, 10:36 PM
the pods remind me alot of a jets intakes. would kill for a raw/bare metal look, maybe with blue tarnish heat marks, ohhh sexy, definatly not a fan of orange and blue, thouse were my high school colors, im looking to branch out lol, the white and diamond blue is sweet though

11-01-2010, 11:39 PM
Well, I thank ya'll. I have put a lot of time in her and she was my 35th birthday present to myself. I have other plans for her in the future, including the EBR swingarm/ chain conversion and an LED light package (blue) underframe so when I cruise saturday night it looks good. Not much more I can do to her. Im gonna post more videos on youtube from 1/4 mile track once I start going again.

11-01-2010, 11:44 PM

04-12-2011, 07:48 PM
Love that bike twoguns, makes me wish I picked up that flyscreen while I was having the lowers shipped over.

Since twoguns inspired me, and answered many questions before I bought the SOC cup fairing kit. It seems appropriate to put my first public pics up here. Hope to get some better ones once the sun decides to shine again here in NJ! 90% done, going to lose the hand guards, they were a functional cold weather accessory. Dont really like the look of them that much. Also need to pop my pucks back on. They need to be shaved a bit to accommodate the new fairing kit(need to cover up my boo boo).
I have some aftermarket 20L hard bags to match going on this week hopefully.

04-13-2011, 12:15 AM

american sportbike sells the tank grip in smooth or snake.
The guiy's from texas said it keeps you a little cooler

04-21-2011, 07:50 AM
Only had it for a week.

04-24-2011, 12:51 PM
That police car is powered by a 5.7L Corvette engine. Idk why they don't just run Camaro SS's. Nice bikes btw.

Here are recent pics of mine. Gonna try and do tail swap soon.

04-27-2011, 10:06 AM
Americansportbike.com has the tank grips, or tech spec has them for sale... they are the manufacturer. The grips keep your legs a little cooler, and keep the paint on the frame from being rubbed by your knees. They also come with a belt guard...
