Now that I got my Barker, seemed like the right thing to do was get an EBR ECM. Well it's waiting for me when I get home Friday and was wondering..

Is this just a straight plug and play swap or does it require something else? Also, just to confirm the ECM location is under the tail body work?

I have the shop manuals at home but am just curious.

it is a simple plug and play, and it is located under your front left pod cover. there are like 6 bolts holding the cover on and i think it was only 1 holding the ecm on. 10mm if i remember correctly.

yes, Plug and play. 1125R guy is correct with ECM location. pop off the left side pod cover, unscrew the nut holding the ECM on, disconnect from cables, then re-connect new one and then reverse the un-install process.

Won't hurt to take an extra few minutes and disconnect the battery cable.

make sure you reset your tps after too.
Is it the same as the 08 and up XB? If not how is this done?

To reset an 08+ Buell, do the following:
1. Turn on the key.
2. Set the kill switch to the run position.
3. Don’t start the engine. Rotate the throttle from fully closed (gently forced closed) to fully
open (gently held open), and then back again to closed (gently forced closed).
4. Repeat 3 times. Hold each position (fully open, fully closed) for 1 full second.
5. Turn the key off and on.

'07-Earlier XB - Use ECMSpy or HD Dealer to reset TPS

'08-Later - DIY procedure described above

Does this include the 1125? '08 - Later?

Thanks I did it last night. Dang- what a difference with the Race version. No more lag or stumble when you crack the throttle. Also has a different idle, hard to descibe, almost as if it had a different cam in it.
