2003 Blast (first bike)

Got my first bike 'bout a week ago .. 17k miles.
Any mainenance advice would be Greatly aprreciated seeing as how I've never owned a motorcycle before .. thanx!!!

change the oil in the engine and Trans (recommend synthtic mobile one 20-50 v twin or Ams oil)
if you look around you will find a ton of easy mods to make it preform better (air box, muffler,primary chain and carb tweeaking)
Iridium plug.

Thanx I appreciate it!! another question .. when I start riding it makes kinda' whistling sound. Was told it might be the belt but wanted to make sure since you seem to know what's what .. thanx again!

Primary too tight - go 10 flats out.
