I was thinking recently about stuff like this, so I figured I would ask you guys too. I want some honest answers and lets try to keep it orderly.

I want to see what parts you guys want. What kinds of things do you want for your bikes that just aren't out there? Things are so readily available for the Jap bike guys and I want to try to help boost the market for us Buell guys too. So start naming the stuff that you would like to see made and the style of Buell they would fit.

I'm going to start it off.

xb - 6 speed tranny
xb - single-sided rear swingarm

for me, all the rest is already available, a power commander is not needed with programable ecm

They have low mount ones that mount out of the way on the front engine isolator (LSR Ohlins) instead of on the fork legs. (Storz)

Buell guys cant bitch about the price of exhaust. A full Micron system costs about $900. A full system for my 07 CBR600RR cost double that. Even slip ons for Buells are half that of the Japs. I cant agree with you on that one.

Well if you look into the design of the jap pips and are pipes it looks like you can go to autozone and get a splitter and two cherry bombs and charge someone $600 for a exhaust. Now the jap bikes actually have a design and are engineered with looks and performance in mind.

BuellPartsGuy

There is more to it than a splitter and 2 cherry bombs. Thats why the cheap pipes dont perform as well as the more expensive pipes or last as long as the spendier ones.*coughJardinecough* You are partly paying extra for the R&D. That and the brand name.....:D

Six speed, yes.
Turbo, yes.
My bike's perfect as is, but a six speed would enable me more room to play around with ratios and still cruise comfortably on the highway and a turbo is just a little icing. After all, more power never hurt anyone and a turbo doesn't really change the powerbands location.

A compressor would be prefered. Can't understand why they made it for the big twin's but not for the buell engine. Compressor is way better than turbo in my opinion, you can easily disable it when you go and register the bike (where i live, every second year) also it works the whole powerband.

Hey, PartsGuy, are you the one who has various parts on sale on E-Bay ? I'm looking for a gas Cap for my 2000 Cyclone M2, possible the complete tank, what year or models may or will bolt on. I am in Dire need of the Gas Cap.
PLus: I have installed the Race Bars ( not Clip Ons) and I have the large Tank, the handlebars hit the sides when turned. Can you help me out ? Thanks

No, I am not the guy who has all the parts on eBay. I have listed a few in the past, thats about it.

All the gas caps are the same from 99-02 on all models. Gas tanks are pretty much the same from 00-02, they made small changes from year to year but should all work.

As far as the bars hitting the tank, I dont know what you want me to tell you. If the set up doesn't work, change it.

Better tank bag selection and a removable Lighting windscreen extension that looks good.

GPR makes a top-mount steering stabilizer, the GPR V4 Stabilizer.

checkout grandstanddesigns.com

They have a fat tire kit for a 240 tire. A little pricey but I think it can be done a lot cheaper. They fit and 8" rim into a stock swingarm and do a chain conversion.

I would like a better selection of tails or at least easier access to european parts. Someone needs to start importing this things.

Cool 1sexynucca. get the scoop so that we can do this much cheaper than they offer and with custom wheels instead of widened factory wheels.

Their chain conversion is almost $700. That is a bit ridiculous to me.

XB12R handle bar risers for less then a mortgage payment? Blue, red, gold, whatever,(depending on the bike) anodized levers and footpegs? Again for less than a mortgage payment.

Good thread!

I'd like some different shaped fairing options for the XBRs! I don't want it rounded, I want angles like a stealth fighter jet!

European stuff like radial master cylinder and more body options. A 6 speed would be tops.

A couple guys working on turbos successfully on another board. They both eventually say they'll have kits. Here's a vid of one of them: XB Turbo Video (http://s63.photobucket.com/albums/h139/ezracing900/?action=view&current=000_0446MOV.flv) Very Cool [cool][up]
