ok so the wife and i were riding the blast, when we went over a bump, the bike bottomed out, then cut off. now it wont tur on, no oil light/headlight/neutral light, nothing.

upon futher inspection, i noticed the 4 bolts that bolt the tail to the motor sheared off. and the boot covering the coil is torn. so now the bike is really low in the tail, and it wont start.
any ideas of why it wont turn on? i know im going to have to drill out the bolts, and then use stronger bolts to put it back together.

please help

sounds like you knocked a ground off or popped a major fuse.check where the bolts sheared off for any wires hanging.check fuses.check connections at starter.

I'm gonna agree, sounds like you definitely pulled a wire loose somewhere.

Cool, will do, ill be tearing into it tomorrow as I have to work today.

So after further investigation, when the bracket pulled off the transmission, it touched the starter bolt, and fried the battery, when I hooked the bike to my car via jumper cables, it started right up. So now to get those bolts drilled out to put it back on the road.
