What is BARF?

Well all we look pretty spread out...
i've been thinking about starting a website for a Bay Area Buell group for us to use as a way to plan rides and exchange ideas and tools and what not.
any good name suggestions?

BARF is the main forum for our area (sorry buell xb) Bay Area Riders Forum I went on that Doc Wong ride this past weekend. 110mi to include most of Skyline and Hwy 1. there is another one coming up Sept 12. we had a pretty good Buell showing too. One 1125 an SS, XT, and myself on the Scg and that was out of about 35 bikes total.

I'm in SF, and my neighbors down the hill are also Buell riders. We're also talking of planning some rides, but September is a hectic month for us.

anybody want to ride this sat? i down sided my cityX @ hwy 130 2 weeks ago 2mi before hwy5, so I was not able to complete my planned route. I took 5 on the way back.
I plan to complete it this sat.
starting early though. coming from 94015, 101 south to hwy130, hwy130 all the way to hwy5, then back track to the "Junction" and take a right to san antonio then mines rd. rookie pace hope I complete it this time :)

I'll be at the Alum Rock Shell gas station right off 680 around 9:30. Figure if you're coming from Daly City that time might work out ok. I'll check the thread when I get there and see if anyone wants to meet up. I'll probably just do the hamilton, mines loop instead of going all the way to 5, but we'll see.

Yep, I was looking for your Buell I didn't get too see it, I left @ 9:15 was @ shell exactly 9:51, left there around 10nish.. passed you? nah... reason why I wanted to ride w/ somebody I want to improve my skills & see how you guys ride the tight turns.. I was so worried of dropping the xb again I was riding it so slow. I kinda like the 130 from Mt hamilton to Patterson though. Mines rd. is ok too but, didn't like the 1 lane sections.. we'll try again next time!

I know you just did it last weekend, but I had something come up and couldn't so I was going to do Del Puerto/Mines this weekend. Could meet you at the Junction and ride from there. If you do 9 and 35, I might be able to make it all the way out there but probably can't do that ride Saturday, only Sunday.

Didn't turn on Del Puerto last time, but mines had very little traffic...not even many bikes. 9 has more traffic definitely, just close to me. Getting to mines is the rough part...but maybe I just need to work on my riding on goaty roads.

I'm up for anything though...2-3 hour ride.

yeah, BARF is a pretty good resource, but didn't have any rides organized for Saturday (I'm not nearly as organized as they are to set up my own). They usually get a huge turnout though, and are pretty good about setting up leaders and sweepers. Nice if you don't want to worry about where you are going and just follow someone that knows the route.

I imagine Carmel Valley Road area is a lot of fun...oh yeah, and weak little stretch of the one just south of Carmel! ;)....i think every car maker out there has filmed a commercial there. WOuld love to put some rubber on those turns...
