Anyone know how I can get one of these in the US?

http://www.speed-of-color.de/index.php?cat=PROMOTION&product=SOC-XBHB-016

There website is I think in German, can't read it. I tried using Google Translate but uses German PayPal payment. I also can't get a hold of them on the phone and won't return my emails.

- just follow the cart till you come to a screen where it asks your login.

- there, take the follow the upper box, as you are a guest and did not buy anything yet.

- fill in your details and proceed

- choose paypall and mark the red text 'bitte anklicken'

- that you'll have a screen that shows what you are about to order. click bottom right 'bestellung senden'. this confirms your order.

i can't go any further, since i do not want the tail...[smirk]

Thx LeFox. Unfortunately none of that matters. Jen from SOC finally replied back to me. They won't ship to US. They claim they don't want their products in Mexico or US at this time.

THAT'S STRANGE! I ordered a taillight from Speed Of Color on Feb 26th, and I live in California. They've shipped it, but I have not yet received it. I used a google web page translator to be able to read every bit of German, and it seemed to have worked just fine. I'm expecting the package to be shipped within 14 days. I hope they're sending it, because I don't know how to say "I need a refund" in German! haha. j/k
Click here for a language translator by GOOGLE.COM (http://www.google.com/language_tools?hl=en)
and
This is what I ordered from SPEED OF COLOR. (http://www.speed-of-color.de/index.php?cat=PROMOTION&product=SOC-XBHB-016)

Hope this helped.

That is a nice undertail for sure. Very similar to the Ermax undertail for the Firebolt. You should check to see if Ermax makes one for the Lightning too.

ermax only makes undertails for the xbr.

Well that sucks big time LeFox. I love that tail and I was so happy when I bought my bike and it had it on there. Less aftermarket I have to put on it.

well, i listed details for both just above your post ;)

i like both, but the 's' model a bit more :p
not just because the lights are in the case, but they are aimed at that someone behind you & not to the sky, which is less visible.
+ the fact that you order it as a set :o

I would definitely like to get one of those tails from Speed-of-Color. I ordered one, but I too was told they wouldn't ship to the U.S.

LeFox, would you be interested in ordering a couple?

I have also tried ordering a very similar piece from Pro Carbon. I was told it was shipping last week, but my card hasn't been charged and they will not answer my emails.

I really like these dual light tails... they're ten times sharper than any others out there IMO.

For anyone thinking of buying the Ermax XBR tail-

I have a red tail unit that matches my red 12R perfectly in color. I bought it from Al at American Sportsbike. I had the option of incandesent or LED brake lights (I picked LED). The brake LEDs are bright enough, but I'll probably replace the LED signals, as they're not as bright as I'd like. I had to use a file and shave about 1/32 of plastic trim from around the rear tail tip to get it to fit right, but was otherwise a straightforward install. It does a fairly decent job of cleaning up the tail.

Ermax tail is hawt. But now that SOC has their assembly for the R, I have to hop on that. I have only had my bike a little over a week, but somehow accumulated this big laundry list of things I want done :D

Looks good Tork. Did that license plate bracket come with yours? The one mine had was totally different and I did not like it at all, so I removed it.

Yeah Apex, the SOC one is cool as hell.

The license plate bracket is actually a "laydown" plate bracket unit for a Harley cruiser. I like it because it allows me to angle the plate a little bit better and run lighting to it more easily. I just mocked it up in place, marked holes, drilled, and mounted with large fender washers behind the undertail.

I've been pulled over a few times for various things, but never been hassled by the Texas badge for my license plate mounting.

I saw a post somewhere on a board that showed some guy doing a pretty cool plate remount on his XBR by simply rotating the stock bracket 180 degrees (front to back) and grinding the ears off the bracket. He was able to make a pretty decent angled plate mount under the tail that way. Of course he still had to rig some plate lighting.

Hmm strange. I e-mailed Jens from Speed of color. Although I live in Canada, he e-mailed back within a day and said it was no problem to order and have him ship. The google language translator doesn't seem to translate the transaction page though.....
