So anyone else having an effin hard time putting the rear seat back one once removed? I literally almost pushed my bike off of it's stand several times trying to get that cover back on. WTF?![mad]

I should clarify... I'm not talking about the plastic shiny cover that goes over the seat itself, I mean the WHOLE seat w/ cover on...putting it back on the bike sucks! Getting it to tuck under the metal bar and then into the lock release.

wow never had that problem, make sure the bolts inside the seat (bolted to the latch) are tight. If loose the latch will not hold the seat down.

My R tail literally would drop and snap lock on its own if I set the rear seat on.
Sounds like most have mentioned you either bent it or have something in the way.
Although I had this issue with my S tail so I actually took the locking mechanism off and drilled out the plastic holes to lift the latch up, since then I have had no problem. Not the best pic but and idea if you can do it[smirk]

It doesn't completely apply because my bike is an xbs, but I have 2 seats and one slides on effortlessly and clicks nicely, and one I have to slide on just right and jam into place until it clicks. Who knows if something was bend when I got it or not, but it looks like it's all straight. I don't think it takes much for these seats to start being difficult.

So after some closer inspection I have discovered it is one of the battery "bolts" that rub up against the seat "L" bracket that slides under the rear frame. Going to have to mess with it a lil..or a lot. Maybe I'll post some pics if anyone else is having the same issue.
