In the 2007 XB12R owners manual page 64 gives you settings according to the riders weight albiet they are a starting point and can be fine tuned from there. I don't do track days and or race my bike so they are fine for me.

even so, it still makes alot of difference in brake length & stability.
it's worth looking in to ;)

I agree Lefox.W ith my leathers, helmet, boots and GPS my gear and my body weight come to approx 185/190lbs so using the settings in the owners manual I set the suspension up to my weight class and fine tuned it. Depending whether I'm in Oh or Mi I adjust the comp/rebound b/c MI has real chitty roads. Tho I would like to lower the bike some if you have any suggestions as I'm on my toes when I sit on the bike and not flat footed. maybe dropping the preload would help but when I tried I'd feel like I was riding with no oil in the shock/forks.

if you want to keep the comfort, only option is changing springs. [smirk]

There's a lowering kit buellpartsguy put together that will give you Right around 2 1/2 inches shorter than stock...
