Just wanted to check in. Yesterday I picked up my lightly used 1125CR. Before buying it, I had taken a couple of demos around side streets. Those demo rides never really showed me what a friggin monster this bike it. Once I got it onto the freeway and it was allowed to stretch its legs, this thing turned into a beast! I predict many speeding tickets in my future.

The first time I put gas into it, I realized I was clueless about the bike. Where's the gas guage? Then I realized the bike didn't come with an owner's manual. Can someone point me to a place where I can find one? I did a search but ran across a site that charges $36 to subscribe to a service. Or maybe the manual is under the seat? How do I unlock the seat?

Thanks for any/all advice!

no fuel guage, only low fuel light. no lock for the front seat, 2 tek screws under the rear corners of the seat. owners manuals might be on this page in the manuals section. there are repair manuals available for around 60 bucks sometimes on ebay. welcome to the forum.http://www.buellxb.com/buell_images/6327_20100708012626_L.jpg

Thanks for your help. I found something on Buell.com. I will also check out the rest of the forum. 91 octane for fuel. I put 89 in yesterday, but shouldn't be a biggie.

That is a nice bike, wait that's what I have! Please use 91+ octane. The key hole under your seat on the left hand will open the back seat. Have fun and welcome to the forum.:D

I'm in So Cal...Simi Valley. I've seen a bunch of Buells in the classified ads. I had to choose between 3 bikes. But I've only seen one other actually on the road. So it really is a special bike.

Uggghhh...went for a 150 mile ride yesterday and during a gas stop just before going home, I heard this rattling near the engine. Like there was a part loose in the motor right after I shifted into 1st gear. I still have 20 days left on the warranty, so I'm going to take it into the Harley shop today.

bummer i hope all goes well. I love mine.. i also love the way she rides.. it just feels like a monster being unleashed when i start her up and twist the throttle down the road... i love it... what did you find out from the mechanic?

There is a lot of clatter in this engine, and the closer you get to empty the easier it is to hear. I'd have it checked out but there's a good chance you will just have to deal with the noises.

Trust me, it's worth it.

[down] engine noise. [up] keda-design exhaust.

I just had it checked out by a mechanic who previously owned an 1125CR. He said that it was transmission noise...the gears not quite meshing properly and that it wasn't a major concern. He took it for a test ride and said everything sounded fine to him. He also said that if it happened again that I could bring it in for a warranty repair since it's been documented.

The noise occurred while I was pulling out of a gas station and lasted for about 5 seconds. I went on a two hour ride yesterday morning before seeing the mechanic and couldn't reproduce the problem.

What a relief!
