Iowa Buells

Hello everyone. nickh and I have been posting in the Lightning forums trying to gather people in the Iowa region for some get togethers. I'm hoping this reaches a few more people here. We are basically looking to meet and ride with any Buellers (or non-Buellers, just motorcycle folks really) in our area. We are both based out of Cedar Rapids, IA. We've seen a few Buells around town but I haven't met any of them. Here are a few links talking about the past two rides we've gone on with some pictures included:

I'm a newer buell owner and I live in Cedar Rapids as well. Bought a Yellow '03 xb9sl in late September. Had it for about two weeks and traded for my current red '10 xb9sx. Let me know if you guys ever go for a ride.

Absolutely. Personally I've only just scratched the surface of the River Run area. I'd be up for more exploration.

As an aside, anyone want to start meeting up to watch MotoGP/ World Superbike races when the seasons start up again? That's something we used to do when I lived in NC and we had lots of motorcycle buddies around. Would be fun to have a get-together, even when it's cold, to talk shop, swap stories, hang out and meet new people, etc.

:D ME AGAIN:D When i lived in Phoenix every other Sunday a group would go riding.Like your last post we then would end up doing other things like drag strip or going to races.It was always nice knowing every few weeks you had a big ride going on.Seems like where on same page.

Got the bike out the other day ! After changing the oil [ and tipping it sideways to get oil in the primary ] i must have fouled my plugs... so needless to say I got to figure out how to change the spark plugs. Put in some iridium spark plugs and now she's running like a champ again. Looking forward to getting some rides in

O ya it was my buddy on his most likely. He was pry comin to humboldt or headin to cedar falls. Drives both just dependin on when I'm in either town lol.

I do not. I have a 06 blue xb9sx. I can't wait until this weather has finally passed. Originally from TN and right now its spring time there. Any rides coming up this spring?

Southeast Mn here. Make trips down to Iowa on my Buells occasionally. If there are some border hoppers interested in meeting up this riding season that would be cool. Hopefully I will have my bike together by the 16th or 17th. Also the flood run is happening April 21st up here. It is a fun time for the most part. Lots of bikes from around the area and a few bikers from way out of the area. Can be a really good time for a group that likes to ride together. Happy riding to everyone, and BTW this was the worst winter to decide to rebuild my bikes..grr.

What is the flood run?

Flood run is mini sturgis. Runs both sides of the river wi/mn from about lacrosse up to the twin cities.

Well I'm over in Dubuque, ia but the company I work for is out of la crosse. I might be able to make the flood run. When it gets a little closer make a topic about it and let's see who's all in.
