Hello all I just bought a 2008 XB12XT with 3500 miles and I love it what a really fun machine but i have a couple questions.
Sometimes it idles high and hunts around between 1000 and 2000 rpm any thoughts on why this is happening.
Also I want to put a drummer or a special ops pipe on it. I want it a little deeper sounding but not obnoxious whats the difference between these two pipes? Is one louder than the other? Which is better performance wise? Thanks for the help.

If it's doing the hanging idle thing even after the bike has reached normal operating temps - might try a TPS Reset (http://www.buellxb.com/Buell-XB-Forum/Buell-Lightning-XB12S-XB12Ss-CityX-XB12Scg/Troubleshooting/help-with-ecmspy) for starters.

Here's a good exhuast reference with sound clips & performance sheets - Huge Exhuast thread (http://www.buellxb.com/Buell-XB-Forum/General-Motorcycle-Chat/the-big-buell-exhausts-topic)

Great Bike!! Once you get the rpm thing under control you will love it.Please ask lots of questions anytime. There are no dumb questions. 92 oct and above fuel only and find stations that have 92 only hoses. On multi octane hoses you will get 1 1/2 gallons of low octane fuel if the person before you used that. This may cause higher rpms than normal.
