What size is the exhaust pipe on a 2008 buell blast?

My exhaust broke right where the muffler connects and I was thinking about getting a universal motorcycle muffler instead of welding back on the stock 15lb muffler.

The bike is at the garage so I can not measure it at the moment.

This is the one I was thinking about getting:

Dont just slap on a tip, get an actual muffler. You can make anything work.

I would try to get something of equal length to the stock pipe, but lighter. You will get more sound and save weight with any aftermarket pipe. Look specifically at Carbon Fiber pipes for your best bet.

Ebay has tons of CF pipes for $30 you could modify to fit your bike. They might not give you the best performance but then again you do have a Blast so performance is not really a huge deal (personal thought).

you need an actual muffler with some sort of baffle for back pressure, a straight pipe will cause the bike to run like crap

thanks for the info, this is my gf's bike.

we got the muffler welded back on but not sure if that will hold. i found several universal motorcycle mufflers last night i will look into. i would rather not pay $300 for an aftermarket exhaust for this bike.

the link i posted was for an actual muffler according to the description, it has a baffle.

You would still need a header - lol

My stock exhaust broke, so now its either weld the stock one together, or build an aftermarket one.
