Had a few days over 40 with sunshine and very few patches of ice. Quickly re-assembled and.....well, you all know... Zoooom!

** I experimented during the winter and found a great match for the 'cherry-bomb' color. If interested, I'll
list the products and process.

Hi, very nice bike... Yes, i'm interested in the color match. Where you at in Chicago?

Took several tries, but for the closest match to the 'Cherry-bomb' wheels I did the following....
Stripped and sanded to bare metal. Used Duplicolor
'adhesion promoter' (clear primer) first, then two coats of automotive primer (gray), then 1 coat of Duplicolor Metalcast 'Metallic Ground Coat' and then several coats of Duplicolor Metalcast Red (SHW-MC200) Finally hit it with a couple of coats of quality clear coat. Looks good and matches almost perfectly. Note: Lightly wet-sanded after primer and 1st coat of red, but be gentle.

Fabricating my own belt guards and a new style of tail plus working on a quick release psgr. foot peg, but we'll see. I'll post when any of it is completed.

Thought of painting the sprocket cover and heel guards the same, but thought it might be a bit much.... but who knows.

I think it looks great just the way it is. In my opinion when you start painting everything on your bike to match a color it starts looking like a plastic toy and not a machine. Just my opinion though. Question...I am looking to paint my side rails black. Did you use a professional style paint sprayer, or spray paint and and just follow proper painting procedure? Like I said, I'm looking to paint mine black this season but don't have professional tools for painting.

Used normal Duplicolor spray cans, but followed instructions and plenty of dry/cure time.
Doesn't look as good as quality professional job, but can't tell unless nose-to-metal.
