taking off the stickers

what is the easyest way to take the buell stickers off the bike?

Grab a corner and peel.

I'm assuming you're talking about the ones on the belt guard and somewhere else; orange and white? They peel right off. If it's cold where the bike is, warm it up a little with a hair dryer.

If you're talking about the thick Buell logo things, if I was going to take those off, I'd warm them up with a dryer or gently with a heat gun, then slip dental floss under one edge or corner and work my way through.

I used a hair dryer, and not my heat gun. I didn't want to burn the plastic. They will peel right off. Clean it up with lighter fluid.

Mine peeled off no problem. I don't recal it leaving any residue either. Gannet, it is a relatively new bike and hardly has any weathering on it yet.

I just pulled mine off on Monday. Heated them up for 20-30 seconds with a hair dryer then used a 2" plastic scraper to peel them up. It's one of those flat things you would use to spread joint compound on a wall if you don't feel like buying a metal one. Worked great, came off even easier if I kept the heat on it while I was peeling.

What color stickers are you pulling off? Are they one of the newer solid color styles, or are they the older transparent/reflective ones? If they're the old ones I might be interested in grabbing the old stickers off of you. The older ones aren't really reusable because the reflective part is the sticker and it usually get messed up pulling it off.

when i shave all the badges off my trucks i normally use a hair dryer to soften the tape, then use fishing line to wiggle behind to get them off. removing the residue is a combo of wd40, lighter fluid, or just wax and a fingernail.

careful not to get any on the triples, they'll spot. water based goof off won't spot anything.

I forgot to mention that part, I just used goo-gone on mine for the residue. I had to spray it once and let it soak in, scrape off the top layer, spray it once more and let it soak for a few minutes, this time 95% came off with my scraper, then one more time just to get the final bit off.

I knew something like mineral spirits would've pulled it off a lot faster but I was afraid to mark up the airbox. I did use it on my flyscreen to remove the glue from that badge, but that was a lot harder glue and I knew goo gone wasn't going to cut it.

Lighter fluid does the trick just make sure not to let any get on the Bike I always take them off.Heat works good w/ plastic fish line/ Plastic scraper used gently .Polish & Walla![up]

I let Buellchick's bike sit in the sun for a while walked out and pulled back on the decals [smirk]

I know on my truck when I removed the decals I let it sit in the sun and used fishing line like a flexible saw, just worked it back and fourth through the adhesive, then some goo-gone to clean up any left over adhesive on the paint.

I do have to admit...all the factory xb decals are gay and kind of a bitch to remove. I just picked and peeled alot. They ripped into small pieces. Just kept working at it. I didnt use heat.
