Plan on doing a long trip on my M2 when work allows and weather gets better. Even thought about riding to east coast from WA. Just trying to get an idea on what to expect and if the bike can handle it. Wanna make sure i'm being realistic before i start making any plans. Has anybody here done any epic rides on their tuber?

3100 miles in a week on my 02m2L the summer after i got it. realized the stock seat on the low totally sucks and realized a long time later that maybe i should have wore bicycle shorts at the least. wish i had some kind of cruise control for the ride too. one things i've been in the habit of doing because i can't keep my legs in one position for any length of time was move em to the back pegs or just hang them down. just make sure you give the bike a good going over and enjoy the ride.

1,040 miles in 23 hours. Would have been a 19 hour trip but my buddies 84 Nighthawk broke down temporarily. I was on my 04 XB12s. The bike did great and I wasn't very sore the next day either. My best advice is to have water you can drink without stopping. I had the guts from a CamelPak in my tank bag. All I had to do was grab the hose, feed it into my helmet and have a drink. Also don't watch the clock or try to be in a hurry. That just creates unneeded stress.
