Deals gap has a few places But i think it is just tent.
I think iron horse is the one down the road a little has trailer camping.

I was there this year and had a great time planning to be back for this one :)

Google Graham County, North Carolina campgrounds. There are a lot and most are bike friendly and ALL the roads around there are killer and not far from 129 action. LOL I'm looking at toy haulers now too.

Going to bring my better half down with me this year. We are going to stay the week after in a cabin. It will be the first vacation we have taken together, without the kids, since we started a family. I've already started researching all the trout streams in the area. Can't wait!

Wont be there that weekend, but will be headed up the last weekend in April.

We always stay in Tellico Plains, TN at Hunt's motorcycle Lodge. It is on the west end of the Cherohola Skyway. Take the Skyway east and then north on 129. They have a few cabins and tent camping with all the parking area you could want. Only thing kinda weird is the cabins are small and dont have private bathrooms. There is a bath house, like a campground. It is clean tho.

I'll be going- but I have to attend some training in Atlanta the week before so I am leaving Miami 4/11 and then leaving Atlanta 4/15 to head up. Might swing through Rocky Face, Ga. on the way up. I think I will be hanging around a few extra days and head home around the 20th/21st depending on the weather.

I think the rooms are just blocked off for us, so when you make reservations be sure to mention you are with the Buell event. I'm trailering down again this year from VA and bringing my better half. Look forward to a great time again this year!

yes theres rooms blocked and a discount i think.

Be 12 hours for me planning maybe 2 non buell Riders.
Likely trailering because if i where to ride i would skip the hwy and it would be 20+ hour ride.
Be sure you have good tires or plan to buy some if you ride allot there the mica in the road offers great grip but wears tires a ton.

There will be a dinner ride Thursday, leaving around 4:00. The ride Friday leaves at 10:30 and will be about a 150 mile ride. I'm thinkin' cookout at the DGMR Friday evening. They've got a big grill and they'll fire it up for us. We'll ask more about that when they open next month.

I'm thinking about coming down to the dragon for spring break. I dont get much time off due to work and school so March 25-27 is about the best time for me.

Question is how is the weather? I know you guys are usually 5-10 degrees warmer than us in ohio.

Average temperatures in late March are between 50 and 60 degrees, but still kinda unpredictable. Sometimes in March we've had a 60 degree day, and the next day or two we see snow.

BUMP!!!! Only 5 weeks left. Weather is starting to break here in VA. I need to get some of the winter cobwebs worked out after I get the new Michelins put on! We will be there the whole week and I plan on taking a few extra things, so if there is anything you can't or don't want to haul down, let me know. I'll throw it in the trailer if I have room.
I will have a mostly complete set of tools, air compressor,rear stand, and some cooking/camping supplies. Raz

Boss, That is awsome! I just moved up to an enclosed trailer this year, but that is the bomb. Can't wait to hit the dragon,managed to get my Power Pures scuffed while the weather was warm here in VA, now it's time to start backing.:)

They don't need much likely with mold release there sticker than anything you have had.
I have ridden off a set already last year plan to ride off this set when i get there.

Last year I had the Power Pilot 2ct and loved them, but I like these better. Seems the front of the pures don't have as much crown in the middle of the tire so turn in is not nearly as quick and a much smoother transition at the start of the turn. I WILL be draggin' a knee at the Dragon this year!!! Raz:p

Trailer is ready to go except for the ramp, which I will finish at work on Sunday. Now all I need to do is get Bruiser a stable mate so the second wheel chock won't be empty. At least that is what I'm telling my better half. Raz;)

Ok I have my bikes insured. Cherry is going for the riding part of her mi cycle endorsment today(using my buddies Zume 50 has rear pegs so it's a motorcycle LOL) .
She Aced the written the lady a sos was like wow that usally only happens once a year must be the teacher LOL.
So tomorrow i will plate the Xb. i have the stator hopefully back from rewind Friday and few shiny things coming from knight Design.

I know had 500 miles before this trip last year same time it's still fricken cold here in Michigan forcast for deals gap is 70 sunday and 80 Monday.
Will will be taking the truck down from michigan.

There where two guys from Canida last year if you wanted to cross over @ niagra you could problly meet up with puzzled and trailer from there still i pretty good ride from what i remember.

RT-Learned that lesson the hard way last year when the Vic spit out a spark plug on the way home.I'll be hoping for an uneventful trip this year.

BIG Thanks to everyone who came out to Dragon IV!! It was awesome seeing all those Buells at the Deal's Gap Resort, and even more awesome seeing them leaning into all those curves. Although Fridays weather kinda threw the group rides a curveball, it looked like everyone got plenty of riding done. Enjoying the curves, hanging out around the fire, having some beers, and getting to talk with some awesome people sure made my weekend.
