It looks good as is, but I have seen a few bikes with the flat OD green and they look sweet. It's a different taste/trend that I like. If you do go that route, I would like to see pics.

Yep, Just like that. Maybe a little lighter green and flat black rims, I will have to play with the color tints to get what I want. I just picked up this helmet so I will try to match the color.

I absolutely love the flat colors. Wish I had the skill and tools to do that stuff myself.

It's not very expensive to get it done.. exp if you're not too particular or set on a color. everytime I paint anything small I always got to the paint shop and ask to see their mismatched colors.. they always make custom colors for people that don't get bought and it's only like 20 bucks for just enough to paint your parts.. you can get 'em sprayed for about a hundo if you're not set on a time either.. So I'm figuring about a 140ish to get 'em painted. You can get your rims sprayed the same way. just make sure they throw on some good clear and you're set.

Any color can be matte like that all you do is not buff the clear coat but it will leave a ruff surface. so cleaning it is a bit tricky... You can also ask your local shop if they have left over paint. green and black are very common colors and if you're painting all your parts mismatched or left over paint works great. Just make sure you keep the paint codes or be prepared to repaint all the pieces again when it goes down!

I've been dying to paint the air scoops like how they are in that 2nd picture but i can't find the "thrust blue" paint that comes stock on my 05 xb12s. I don't want to paint the whole bike, just the scoops and maybe a couple other things. any help would be awesome.
Hey GatorBuell, I'm a gator myself still in g-ville, it would be kinda sweet to maybe check out your bike or maybe give me some pointers on mine. Thanks all!

Go Gators:D Im down in the Titusville area south of Daytona. If you have any question just ask.
I dont think you will find that exact match on the color. The only thing you could do is find a close match or repaint all the plastics to match. If you are only going to paint a few plastic parts I would use a rattle can. To use automotive paints with a primer, base and clear would be a lot of work with prep time spray gun and setup. If your looking for something better than spraypaint and cant do it yourself you might take the parts off and take them to a automotive paint and body shop and ask them how much to paint it. They could match the paint but It would cost you.

Im going to use the Hot Rodz Flatz Urethane. I will have to get the tent kit to lighten it up a little with more green in it Green Drab (http://www.tcpglobal.com/kustomshop/hrf235.aspx) and the Twilight Black Metallic flat on the rims. My buddy wants me to try to live fire paint the rims with Flat black and Dark Grey . Live Fire paint (http://www.tcpglobal.com/kustomshop/kslivefire.aspx#lfpaint) Its very cool but maybe out of my range.
