View Full Version : DON'T delete your pictures, please!

We're making modifications to the forum. Please do not delete your images. Deleting images breaks old posts. Haven't you ever done a forum search or Google search with broken images or photobucket logos for expired pictures? That's totally lame and doesn't do anyone any good.

We created the image upload feature and spend good money to host everyone's images to prevent this. Let's keep this forum rich with for everyone's future use.

wow i didn't think it removed the image from our posts

I thought after that debacle with someone's kid looking through the members pics and saw some naked pictures, the forum had been adjusted so we could delete pictures from the gallery but they would stay in the thread they were posted in?

Either way I won't delete any more pictures, just mentioning it because that's probably where some of the confusion came from!

i just checked threads i posted pics on that i deleted and theyre not broken.but i wont delete any more.not afraid of people seeing pics just a personal prefrence dont like all those pics on there so its either dont upload any or delete when i get a ****load on there.

When you post a pic, all you're really doing is referencing the location in your Member's Area from the main Server and transposing onto the post, it's still "physically" located in your Member's Area. If you delete the reference, no more pic in the post....

all the pics i posted are still on the threads even though they have been deleted

???? Also curious to why all the Porn thread images havent been messed up, since many have been deleted to make the Forum Library youth friendly.

so does this mean its ok to delete pics that are no longer needed?

Xtreme----- whenever you have a kid that shares your enthusiasm for something you really enjoy , you'll understand why "youth friendly" isn't all that bad.[smirk]

I'll test this out. It should also delete images from past threads. Strange. This picture of my wife and I is just a test.

OK, I deleted the image above and it still appears in this thread. I don't remember setting it up like that, but that's cool.

ok so feel free to delete pictures?

I have deleted pics and even have a new laptop and the pics are still on the site, so I think it is safe to delete needed pics.

I know what you mean, I never thought much about the library until that specific issue came up. But that has not been a problem since then. All the pics that have been loaded in the library that are 18+ have been deleted by the members to make sure the site, minus a couple threads, stay family friendly[up]

Image the panic that would ensue if all of the pictures in the porn thread were to suddenly dissapear because everyone thought they were safe to delete them from the gallery.

I would be extremely disgruntled, and probly just a little angrier and frustrated, please don't even joke about removing that thread or the pics, in fact isn't it about time for some new ones, maybe showing off the bikinis for summer, or lack there of
