The only thing you have that is Buell is the motor. I guess if I took a Chevy small block out of a Vette and built a rock crawler out of it I don't think it would be called a Vette[smirk]

i agree with what they said. and add
i dont see a buell there just a bunch of replaced parts , and when there is more non buell parts than buell parts, or at the very least it's not a buell when only one part is from a buell, or when all that is left is the buell VIN # , technically it is (legally only), but morally it is NOT a BUELL.

any Innovation doesn't equal buell.
Buell innovation equals BUELL.

I built everything myself except the tank, it is a hydraulic fluid can from a Harrier jump jet. I am new here and will leave that one out of this forum. http://www.buellxb.com/buell_images/8674_20110102110117_L.jpg

I'll stick with the easy stuff like this one, just under 1.5 liters, counterweights removed, hollow lumpy cams, water and O2 injection. 142Hp on the tire.

I don't know, when did Buells stop being custom sportsters? Same story.

I think the frame defines a buell, you could have a buell frame with a jap engine in it and it would be introduced as a buell with an xxxx engine in it.

but if you put a buell engine in a jap bike it would be introduced as a xxxx with a buell engine.

same for a custom build, its a so and so's custom build with a buell engine.

the same seems to go for cars, frame and body first followed by the engine.

RX-7 with an LS1 (FC LS1/FD LS1)
cooper/austin mini with honda vtec (mini tech/ bxxyy mini)
350Z with a skyine engine (RB26DETT 350z)

just what I have noticed

we all like more than Buells,
but BUELLs are literally in our blood we are
THE BUELL FAMILY. to most of buells are a huge part of our lives. we are more than ordinary motorheads we are Buellers.

or maybe thats just me.

anyways no one said they didnt like it . in fact i do like it,
it is very creative, it would make a cool innovative cafe racer if it had rearward controls instead of foward controls(plus in my opinion with rearward controls with the cafe/drag bars that would ease the leg cramps & better riding position ,especially for cornering and high speeds.), not really a buell from its looks.
You ask the question we answer it, not to rude i hope.

I would also like to see more pics of both bikes plus any others you have(or you built).

welcome to the family .

it is a full twin, single sided swing arm in front also, some other projects.http://www.buellxb.com/buell_images/8674_20110102124948_L.jpg
I used to layup carbon but now everyone has it so I use kevlar or carbon/kevlar like this tank. This particular one is a full tank and cap, not just a cover. A stock cap weighs 159grams, this whole tank weight less than 6 stock gas caps, the cap weighs 26grams, I hate weight.

You can see the Nitrous can here. Every bike I make has 2 ECM modules and I wrote the code from scratch and work on one program all the time, when it is better I run that one and work on the other.

As a side not even a stock ECM can be re-flashed and take new software and the spyware that is canned will not take advantage of all conditions.

the Y2K motorcycle has a helicopter engine in it...it is not a helicopter...the same goes for that bike. Just because it has a Buell engine... doesnt make it a Buell.

not saying it isnt still a bad ass bike though! good work.

Also, the y2k bike video, 29 seconds in, the lady does exactly what i would've done. Standing in front of a concept bike doesn't seem very intelligent

I'd still like to see more pictures of your creation if you got them. This site isn't all about Buell stuff, so it's fair game.
