Good afternoon to some and good morning to the rest.

Im new to the forum and have owned 2 buells and wouldnt trade them for anything!!!

Live in Michigan (anyone in lower Michigan PM me)

So I have a question for the experienced. Firechickens air filter set up was what I hoped for yet the 06 frame doesnt feature the holes on left side. So does this leave me with pure custom besides the normal air box delete?

I appreciate the comments and may Buell forever prosper!!!

I am very happy with opening up the air box with a K&N filter. That external filter does look cool though.

Welcome to the forum, lets see the bike! [up]

SPUD did you do the air box delete?
Also I heard the 06 has the worst air intake due to the only opening is by the gas cap... < Any fixes

I just replaced my '06 inner air-box cover with one from an '07. It is open enough to provide all the air the K&N can flow.

Yup. Dremel all off but the top. Used 2 bolts to hold it down. They secure though the holes left over from the breather bypass.

I have the ecmspy and cable bot honestly sorta afraid of it. Any tips SPUD?

Thanks for photos. [up]

WILLIEGOAT your saying the 07 flows enough for the KN Filter? Where'd you purchase? ASB?

Yes, $35 at ASB. It has more holes, bigger holes, in more places (kinda reminds me of a girl I once....but that's another story for another time); and you don't have to cut up your original part.
Don't be afraid of ECMSpy, just read everything you can and save your original EPROM.

Cutin up that part is half the fun. :D

LOL me and a dremmel tool could get dangerous. Do you Ill recommend loading a tune and working off it or starting from square one?
