I would like to install sliders, but do not want to overdo it. What has everyone else done? My main goal is frame protection - signals and plastic can be replaced.

I was going to do frame pucks with LSL axle and bar ends.

Does anyone have the LSL frame sliders on and how do they work/look?

Thanks.

I have the frame pucks, they look good, but seemed cheap for what they cost. If you do get those, wipe your frame down with rubbing alcohol and a lint free cloth. The stuff included with the pucks is not enough to do the whole area. Make sure they are where you want them before you peel off the backing, because they stick fast and hard!

Thanks azsnow - I got my pucks this week. Now I just have to wait for it to warm up and the 20 inches of snow to melt.
Thanks.

Good god, not on the bike I hope... lol :p

Yeah I broke out the summer gear today. Mesh jacket, mesh gloves and the ventilated pants. This is awesome. :D

hey I have installed the LSL frame sliders on my 05 xb12r and I like them. They have several colors to choose from and they seem to have some strength. I've never, (yet) had to test them and hope to never test them. Installation was easy with just replacement of a few longer bolts. Look close to the pic. Frame sliders are cheap compared to the replacement of a frame! http://www.buellxb.com/buell_images/3065_20090118175854_L.jpg

they look good, rider1086!

don't forget axle sliders, especially the rear ones, since the rear swingarm always ends up sliding on the ground. ;)

LaFox, I believe I saw a post from you somewhere on the forum that you had made some axle sliders. I had thought of that too and was wondering what you did. What did you use and how? I prefer to make some of my stuff because not a lot of people around my area do that. I have some resources to do so. If no one has what i need i make it! Also where are you from?

Can we see a picture of the other side? does it get in the way of the scoop?

I'll have to take another pic of the other side the ones that i have don't have it on yet. They don't get in the way of the scoop because they are mounted in a different place. this was the only thing i didn't like about them. I'll see if i can put up another pic or if you like you could go to www.spieglerusa.com and pic your bike to see what both sides look like.

Rider1086, Hey this is off subject but your bike has a lower fairing that covers up the pipe. Is that a part that is sold online or is it custom? Thanks

Jason

the kick stand side is definetly lower than the side you can see. The lower fairing was bought from catalyst racing composites.com

The frame slider would pro ably get in the way of a right side air scoop. Unless you got a flush mount one like the one from trojan horse.

i have been looking for some sliders all the way around. i cant seem to find any online. i will check out some of the sites mentioned inhere. does anyone know of a site that still have 1125R sliders in stock? at this point i am not even to worried about looks to much the market for parts getting slim already, safety is paramount in my book.

Nice bike rider1086-I've got the same .
Ive been looking at frame sliders a bit here& there. The lsl will be in the way of the right side scoop. When I mentioned this too the seller on eBay-they had to get back to me. Then I received an email saying I would have to "modify" the scoop.I haven't bothered .
I do have their bar ends & axle slideres, wich are easy to install & look good.
