LED tail light

Hey everyone. so i have heard some scary stories of people getting rear ended sitting at lights. Is a LED tail light brighter than the stock one? I know the brake light is small but im a big believer in safe riding and not getting hurt. If its worth it let me know. thanks guys!

The led tail lights from xblights.com are stupid bright...much better than stock! ASB also sells an led tail light that I hear is very good as well. There is a cheaper option from clear alternatives, but I've heard they are not nearly as bright as the more expensive options.

Just keep in mind that anything other than OEM is not DOT approved. I made my own led integrated tail light but never used it. The reason for this is if someone rear ends you it can be your fault since technically you didn't have a tail light that is approved. I know, I know, there are thousands of people that do it every day. But that doesn't change the fact that someone with enough money and good lawyers could take you to court even if it is their fault.

With that being said, I have a 2010 tail light on my bike at this moment. It is much brighter than the stock bulb and it looks a lot better.

i also upgraded to the 2010 led tail light. u can get them from EBR for about $40

The LED tail lights from EBR are stock tail lights from 2010 1125R's and are 100% legit stock DOT legal tail lights.

if you fear that your afermarket tail/brake/ turn lights are legal or not , all you need to do look up your state laws and statutes on your state's website or governer's website ... look for a link that says legislative branch and/ or law libary links.
