XB12s cg 2005: Clutch problems

I tore up the bearing in the clutch adjustement screw. I have tehs ervice manual and it recommends to parts to remove the clutch HD-38515-A and -91. Do I need to use these tools to remove the clutch or can I just remove the clutch adjustment screw assembly by itself? Any suggestions form someone who has already worked with the clutch?
