Is this an okay price for this bike?

Its an 05 12r. The front wheel has a small flat spot where the finish is chipped, a dent in the header and a small scrap on the swing arm. The dealer said the bike fell over in their shop.

They originally wanted like $5900 for the bike, it didnt sell on ebay for $3800 as the reserve was $4600...so they said. I worked them down to $4500, do you think its a decent price,and about how much would it cost for a new front wheel and header?

seems a bit high to me. i think 3800-4000 is more on target. i paid 4000 for my 04 a year or so ago but it has 20k miles.

front wheel is about $350 new...but obviously cheaper if you find a used one in decent condition. There are a few people on here that can build you a nice header for a decent price too... but I would say that 4K is about the top I would offer.

I was thinking 4k too. All the other 12r's are drying up and with shipping would be at at least the $4500 mark. From what I have seen dealers have lost their minds on pricing in the past few weeks, as last month they looked lucky to bring in 4k for a low milage bike. Now they are at 5-6k for the same quality bikes.

I bought my blue set of rims with tires and hardware for 400, just gotta shop around and you should be able to find the rim at a good price otherwise you could do a temporary fix with touch-up paint

Thats because of the time of year. Spring is in the air man. Expect all outside toy prices to go up. Everyone knows you buy motorcycles and boats in the fall and snowmobiles in the spring. You will save alot of money.

^^^Yep! Too bad for me, tax money comes at the end of winter. At least in the south (NC), end of winter is after February for the most part...Could of had some sweet deals just a few months ago!

i paid $4800 last year for my xb12 with 397 miles on it

traded it in this year with $8000 miles on it and got $3250 for it.

they now have it for sale for $4995
