I just got a Dobeck and I'm wondering if I should even install it without other mods? All I have is a K&N drop in. I'm having problems with exhaust choices. What is the feed back on the buell race joint? I like the clean look of my chin spoiler and can together. And should I cut up my airbox without exhaust?

Has anyone used a Dobeck? And How did you like it? All Comments welcome. I'm looking at the dobeck over a race ECM.

How about the Jardine at idle is it smooth? Or any flat spots or hick-upping off the line or cruising around in 1st. gear in a parking lot?

Mine is a little rough almost "Camy" sounding at idle sounds great every body loves the way it sounds. it is preaty smooth other wise.http://www.buellxb.com/buell_images/1622_20080602113844_L.jpg

Ok firechicken, I'll be the first to ask (maybe), what's the details on the cone filter. Is it instead of or in addition to the factory unit? Does the fan run more w/o the scoop? Any verifiable performance gains? Does look pretty cool though.

Thanks His And Her Buells. There is very noticeable difference. It is plumb directly to the throttle body so it has a (much)colderair temp plus it also Rams the air in. with that said, the Throttle response is the most noticeable diference( alot more responsive), pulls harder at about 3500rpm all the way to red line. It also cruises about 200rpm. the only problem is it starts leaning out at about 105 or around 6000rpm. but thats what a programer is for.(thats on the way) but all and all it made a big difference. Kinda surprised i had not seen it on another bike. as for the Fan i cant tell because it has been in the 90's since i did this so it seems to run alot anyways. I may fab up a new scoop just not sure yet. and i did put it on a dyno but with the leaning out issue was unable to get a good number to post. ounce i get my programmer i will be back to the dyno and they will be posted. Thanks Agian

I'm curios how the Jardine will act on a 12. I know that on the 9 pretty much any can is a great improvement. But I keep hearing that the 12 doesn't like any after market exhaust at low rpms.

i would like to know who is telling you this fairytale...

I have heard it from a couple of people. But I never trust what anyone says without doing some research of my own. I think I'm going to cut up my stock exhaust first and see how I like it. Isn't there a D.I.Y. on here about that somewhere?
