We were discussing motorcycling today at work and the topic came up about Europe and how You have a different selection of bikes than the U.S.. My friend wants the Yamaha MT-01 real bad, but its not sold over here. I have heard that the motorcycling culture is different but how so ? I know up till now motorcycling in the U.S. is more of a recreational thing and Europe is more directed at the high gas prices you have been dealing with for ever so it is a computing culture more than us. What is Europe's take on the whole thing.

several options
- commuters who will also do a the recreational ride in the weekend
- people that can't go to work with the bike but come home and it's all about the 2 wheels
- recreational riders, that have bikes for the weekend ride & vacations
- recreational nice weather riders
but i'm not talking for the whole of europe, though
:p
