Glad you guys are getting the books.:D

Twilli88, Haynes or Clymer Manuals are ok. But they try to cover many models in one book and miss some things.

Factory Manuals have everything, with good pictures, and code info.
Parts Catalogs have part numbers and exploded diagrams of parts better than the service manual.

Teamed together they are fantastic for the mechanic.
I used both often when I was working at the dealership.

Would this be equivalent to a haynes repair manual for a car?yes it's worth it if you ever plan on doing any maintance or service on your Motorcycle!(being mechanicly inclined & can learn & common sense & some knowlege of how things works helps too) & the answer to the next question is, Hell no haynes repair manuals are very very vague & LOTS HAVE WRONG INFO & Wrong pictures & wrong diagrams & such and leave out tons of usefull info and are intended to as a ONLY a guide to help most people figure out how something works and how to REMOVE AND REPLACE ONLY for people who are not mechanics, but just want to do it them selves. for small easy tasks haynes car manuals are ok but for more detailed invovled true repairs & info the TRUE Factory Manuals are Far Far the best manuals,(along with the knowledge & know how & mechanical inclined to do so)!.
dont mean to be an @$$ about the answer but , sometimes straight forward & frankness is the best way to get a point across!
