Hi, First off I would like to thank 07xb12rblack for his idea on the use of the stock support for the plate relocation, looks profesional, stock, and its free!!! I took off the stock support and all reflectors, then cut the "wings" off, adjusted the angle of the support in a vise, then remounted backwards. Then I took the heel protectors off, scuffed them up, primed, painted, and remounted, same with the chin spoiler. (no picture of spoiler yet)

Welcome bro, I did another mod today I think you would like. I took those after market windshield squirters things with the little yellow led light scuffed the chrome and taped off the light sprayed it black and hooked the up into my turning signals. Pretty good mod, not too difficult and only $20. After I do the front ones I'm gonna have to do some electrical work to keep them from blinking fast but I think it cleanes up the rear end alot. Keep me posted on your mods!!!

Very nice, looking at your pic gave me an idea...those red license plate holders, I think i've seen some that light up...would cops consider that as illuminating your plate?

Not sure, I'm thinking about getting the led brake light with integrated turning signals because these aren't the brightest blinkers but I don't know becouse I never use them!!!:D

ic that you made the flush mount rear turn signals, does anyone know how i can purchase something for that instead of making them... and does anyone have any ideas for the front turn signals...

Worst case scenario, you can rig up some LED's to light it up if you can get creative.

Is there a post on here anywhere with instructions on making the flush mount turn signals? They look really slick and I would love to have them on my bike.

any ideas on lighting this thing? ... anyone have a diagram of the tail light so I can tap into the original license plate light and add an additional one for the moded, flush mounted plate?

Why not just use the wires from the stock light? Thats what i'm doing on my Lightning, it works. Gonna post pics real soon [cool]

How difficult and about how much time to take the plastics off and do all that?

Ripped in to do this last night. Seeings as I didnt have access to a grinder/vice I just took the mount off and used the second set of torx screws under the tail to remount the plate on. It looks so good I might not even mod the mount and re mount. Quick and easy with the tail plastics, took me about 20 minuts in all and REALLY cleaned up the tail end.[up]
