Hey Gents (and any Ladies),
My bike came with a mystery exhaust that the last guy (a chopper builder) customized. I like the sound and get lots of compliments on it, but I'm afraid with the k&N and the holes he cut into the airbox, that things will run too hot. I ran the inspection cam up the pipe and the pic below is what the layout seems to be. The valve seems to be incorporated, yet may be useless. I do get some exhaust from the side outlet. I'm going to work with the Octopus to get it tuned soon.

In the mean time, is there a comparable aftermarket pipe/K&N/partially open airbox map for an 'O6 12r that you Tuning/exhaust guys can recommend/provide that will be a good starting point and something that will allow me to ride in the meantime with less worry. The race map ran like crap at idle and dipped down far enough in to the 600-700's to stall. Thanks, Buell family.

That's a very intriguing exhaust design. Sorry I can't help a better map suggestions besides to try a race map until you get your sessions with Octo.

Thanks Sirius, I appreciate input of any kind. This is what it sounds like (stock air filter ; when I first got it.)

I would suggest to do a TPS reset, that will stop the low idle.
After looking at the vid, it appears to respond well.
