View Full Version : WTB/WTT 09 1125 Cr

Hey guys,

I'm looking to get my hands on an 1125 Cr. I have an 09 Lightning right now and love it, but the Cr's have gotten to me. I love the way they look. I know some people don't like the pods or how some of the lines don't flow, but I love it. Bulky, sexy, and just plain bad ass, IMHO. Like I said, I'm looking to buy one for around the $7k area, not much over that, or trade my XB.

Let me know!

Where are you? And which Lightning do you have to trade? I have a buddy with a CR that might be willing to trade.

byrdock: I live in Lubbock, Tx and I have an 09 XB12Ss Lightning Long with 6600mi, Drummer exhaust, Pre-programmed EBR ECM, tail chop, custom windscreen, breather re-route, air box delete, headlight mod, blue LED strips under the air box cover, and I think that pretty well covers it. I put a couple pics at the bottom of this post for you. What are the specs on your buddies Cr?

RT: Thanks for the heads-up! I'll check that out!

Macbuell: I'm about to look it up right! Thanks a lot!

Those look like Ulysses handlebars. They look just right on that lightning, and they're probably very comfy.

Nice bike man good luck with a trade.
I feel confident that you'll get what you want here.

I always thought those bars weren't stock on my Lightning, but I never did any research to pursue what kind of bars they are. Thanks for the heads up! They are comfy and give you a good riding position. Thanks for the compliments, Levi!

Is it a Cr, Jason? I appreciate ya stepping up and saying that. [up] to you for helping out. I can't buy anything until I sell my Lightning; 4 days left on Ebay, so I'm crossing my fingers! I doubt that Cr will last that long at that price...

Cool breeze. Hey, if he's in the market for a Lightning, I happen to know of one for sale :D I've come down with Cr fever; the more I look at'm, the more I want one. Just sick lookin bikes.

i agree... i want one too, but right now i just finished redoing my bike, and buying a house is more important, i also want a cruiser.. priorities..

Priorities, I know how those go. If it wasn't for school, I would keep my Lightning and get a Cr. My gf could cruise on the Lightning and I could fly on the Cr. Alas, only 1 bike will come out on top, but I am confident that I will have a Lightning again down the road; Excellent bikes.

i was thinkin the same.. lol that my girl could ride the r... and i could ride the cr... but i spent waay too much time and money on the r.. and she has a tendency to break anything and everything, let alone a pristine motorcycle that she has NO experience on.

True that. I'm 6'3, so my bike is lengthened to the fullest. She's 4'11, so when I taught her to ride, I had to sit on the passenger seat with my toes touching while both her feet were over a foot from the ground lol. It was interesting, but she drives a standard, so she picked it up pretty quick. I put'r on 250 and she had no problems, but I want her to have some power, something to be proud of. Been looking at some R6's for her, so we'll see what happens.

I have one. :) 09 red with 1900 miles and I also do trades. I'm in Austin.

I originally sold it when it had 32 miles on it. These pics are of it at that time. I recently got the bike back after the guy's insurance went up to 600 a month. He traded it in for an X1 I had. He worshiped this bike. Luckily he's really happy with the x1 and insurance is much cheaper.

i wana start her out on a 110 in the dirt... lol she doesnt want a jap bike... she wants a buell...[smirk]

Cheese, you have NO IDEA how AWE-SOME it'd be to trade! I'm coming down to San Marcos at the end of this month for a buddies graduation. I checked the link and it's an online shopping site? VERY INTERESTED, Cheese!

I like your ladies style, Jason. My lady likes the look of the R1's, but she's just not big enough. She likes Buells and she loves the Cr's, but she wants an actual "rocket."

Zdawg. Sorry about that. The link should be fixed now.

Cool breeze, Wes, I'll check it out in just a sec :D thanks for the email! I just replied to it. How's the weather in Austin? I've never floated the river before and my buddy wants to do that for his graduation. He has a condo down by San Marcos that sits right next to the lake that a few of us are going to be staying at. I've never been, so I dk where it is yet; good ol' GPS. You should come float with us! It's gonna be a good group of guys.
