I know xlr8n_xb has a New York post but Long Island/NYC riders were in that one, just trying to pull it a bit more upstate to the winecountry! I live in Syracuse with an 03 xb9r. My roommate has an 03 xb9s, and we have another friend with an xb12s (not sure of the year).

Wednesday night bike night at Quaker Steak and Lube is a good time, but most weekends would be open for a ride somewhere!

If you want wine country, road reports are good for Cayuga/Seneca/Tompkins counties. I'm in the Cortland/Chenango area, roads are a total disaster. Madison is fair, check out the Georgetown Inn on Rt 80, very bike friendly, all makes.

Or head north and get ate alive by the mosquitoes.

That's a brutal drive (from Pittsburgh) in a car let alone on the Buell. I'd be glad to bring a cover along with me sometime though if you're interested? ;)

I always like riding around the finger lakes, the roads are alright for cruising more of a relaxed ride i like to get in the twisties but I often do.

buellybill44
03-11-2012, 07:32 AM

Utica is a little bit of a haul for me from Elmira. I'm trying to think of a central local to meet up at even if it was just to shoot the ****.

167 south from Little Falls can be as good as it gets if no one has scattered gravel on the turns. I am sure you know most any road between 5s and rt 20 can be fun. Getting to Utica from Fonda is where the fun is, Hickery Hill, New Turnpike, Baum Rd., Youkers Bush, not real twisties but no one on them either. I ride west, north of the Mohawk and then go east, south of the Mohawk almost always using 167 to get south. I will catch you one day for a ride this season Mr. Bradski, if you don't mind riding with an old man........

Where are you in Norwich jc7c86? I'm 40 minutes from Utica and 50 from Binghamton.

I'm into weekend rides only pretty much. And definitely planning on northern NY......and all over up into Maine, but no bike until ~mid-July though.

Look forward to meeting you all one day.

I'm ~45 miles northeast of Binghamton or southeast of Syracuse, however you want to look at it. ;)

I'm around occasionally, and when I am you will find me on my XB12R.

I think I may head north up into the Adirondacks....north of Old Forge.

Thats not to far from bradski and i.

dflack001
06-22-2012, 02:15 PM
I'm an hour from the Adirondacks...I usually ride around the St. Regis, Parishville, Colton-Pierrpont areas. Give me a shout out if you are ever up this far north.

Doing the crankcase breather mod now then going for a test run. Might go as far as like Rome...then probably up into Tug Hill.

Might not happen.

ny_driver
06-29-2012, 03:10 AM
So I did the breather mod, added a K&N air filter yesterday, and plan to wrap the header tomorrow.
Probably change the oil too.

Other than that I'm ready to ride.

Ok guys, I finally got another buell and would like to get a group buell ride(s) going in the CNY area this summer. My roommate is getting one too so we start at 2.

We are located in Syracuse but a central meeting place would work fine. Whose out there and ready to ride?

rusko466
04-20-2013, 11:13 AM
Bike nights at Quaker Steak and Lube start next week (4/24) I think that would be sweet to ride to one with a big pack of twins. They happen every Wednesday there, only seen a couple Buells there before not sure if they were on the forum or not.

buellbradski
04-20-2013, 02:45 PM
Syracuse ? Do they do any bike nights on the weekend it's just a bit far for me to make it after work.

rusko466
04-20-2013, 02:48 PM
I haven't seen any on the weekends but I'm sure they are around. Should at least try to make it to the record night at the end of the summer at Quaker. I think they had like 1400 bikes last year.
