Picked up a buell firebolt xb9r its a 2003 with 24k on the clock. I have searched and scaned read the owners manual and need some questions answered. at 24k miles not knowing nothing about previous servicing I was going to change the following. Oil, primary oil, plugs, airfilter, oilfilter, is there anything else? This is bone stock with no mods at all. Book says HD 20/50 in the swingarm and some sort of primary oil in the transmission, But I keep seeing "I use 20-50 front and back" are they filling the transmission with 20-50 too? any part numbers to non buell airfilters? also a number for replacement sparkplugs. I found the numbers for the oil filters. I am unshure millage on belt should I change that also? I picked the bike up from a repo auction for 600.00 it was laid down on the left side but looks like the frame pucks saved it. As far as damage I am looking at 1 mirror, handlebar end(tripple tree is fine) Front blinker(rear has the undertail with flushmounts) 1 driver footpeg. needs tires and while there off Im going to do a break job and check bearings. Other than that its so clean for a 2003 with 24k on it. It will only run off jumpercables I tried to charge the battery but Its junk it throws a code on my smartcharger. Questioning aftermarket or get a hd battery.

One more thing Is there anyway to rechrome the inside of the headligh buckets people keep saying it was a recalled item and my dealer said not anymore its too far past and I would have to special order the parts myself. there black as can be but the odd thing is there is no "spoon" in my lowbeam.

Be sure to have the fork oil changed and also I would look into changing the wheel bearings out on that.
