claening throttle body on 2009 xb12R

anyone cleaned their throttle body ventury and inside housing? what did you use?Is it safe on TB seals?

I was gonna try a gun cleaning kit, with some sensor safe throttle body cleaner. Anyone else got a better idea?

Most tb come with a protective coating on them to prevent large amounts of gunk from building up on it. If these tb do have this protective coating scabbing it with a toothbrush could remove this and you would have to clean it on a more regular bassis. But them again I don't know for sure. Either way it'll be clean right?

I used a throttle body cleaner and a gun cleaning kit with o2 sensor safe, and ventury coating safe cleaner. I used a 22cal. pistol cleaning kit with square patches, and cloth barrel swabs. I did not spray any cleaner directly into the TB. I only sprayed cleaner on the swabs and cotton squares. The swabs worked hella good cause you could bend a curve in them to clean the entire inside wall of the intake. :D
