Has anyone tried the Cold Inducted Air box from ASP?If we are all tring to get more air into the motor to help it breath, wouldn't a air box delete kit, cold inducted air box cover, with a K&N filter pretty much cover it?The box may be a bit pricey, but when does horsepower come for free?[smirk]

Hey firechickenXB9R,where did you get the induction? How does yours work? Can you notice a differance over the stock unit? And Lefox,my bad,I saw the box on the American Sportbike Website,it's under their XB9R category.;)

yes, it does help.
but when riding 24/7, 365days/year...you might want to cover that with some water-resistant film.

Ya i noticed that i needed more fuel on the top end. But down low it seems to pull harder. Still working on these darn PICs. i can make one if anyone is interested. The newer bikes have a plate blocking the hole in the frame and not sure if you can cut this out but they will work if you have the hole in your frame.

Hey BPG,does this air box work $375 worth? I'm not afraid of spending money to get more power, but as long as it's worth it?[smirk]

Power, no its not going to do much.
Throttle response and driveability, yes

Why cant you just cut your own holes? Buy some matching mesh and get creative;)

hey firechicken, I have an 07 XB9SX and it looks like you can just cut that hole back out it's just a plate welded over the hole like you said, if I can get my hands on the right tools i will cut mine out, how much did you spend for parts? What all was involved? Which cold air kit is that?

FIDOSOL-I thought the new bikes held moe gas because the hole is plugged, meaning its full of gas, you might want to be 100% sure before you drill!

FIDOSOL i would check on that if you cut it and there is fuel well it would total the bike, on paper with the Ins. Co.

I'm going to look where the scoop used to be I took mine off, and now 1,000+ miles later no ill effects my bike is still ok. Anyways, gonna look up through the bottom to be sure, it's a good thing my buddy isn't home from work yet...was gonna try it today. I'll let ya'll know though.
