i know theres a lot of these threads about a biker dieing, this happened within walking distance of my house though and was someone i was close with and rode with on multiple occasions. it happened so close to my house a few poelpe were actually concerned that the cyclist might have been me.

he could make anyone laugh, he was just that kind of person. huge smile and loved life. last night about 300 yards from his house the driver of the jeep (18 and over the limit) failed to yeild @ a stop sign, he braked and went into the jeep, and unfortunatly was thrown about 15 to 20 feet into a street sign. the articles tell the rest that i will post with some pictures. this happened @ about 1230 this morning

you may have to log into fb to see the quote but for anyone who doesn't have fb this is what it says (on her "about me" section)

Hell is not a place you go if you're not a christian. It's the failure of your life's greatest ambitions. It's a bad decision to blindly follow any religion. I don't see the difference in between the wrong and the wrong.

I don't know how bad it is that I always try to find something that could've been done differently. At 12:30 in the morning, I would probably treat every driver I was coming across as drunk until proven otherwise.

Thank you for sharing, Justin. (Nice name!)

Condolences to everyone affected by the loss. As for the chick... I wish I could say she's young and stupid, but shes old enough to know better. Those people that don't think about their decisions are usually the ones who haven't experienced that kind of loss. It's like saying you don't believe in hell. Everyone would prefer not to acknowledge it's existence till they're actually on fire.
Then again, anyone who writes something like that would probably try to write the devil a check for 20k...

Sparse details in the article. By the looks of that jeep the girl must have been hauling ass...

And I would agree, ALWAYS assume the other vehicle isn't going to do what they are supposed to do.

My condolences.

Ya he was riding his friends busa, which is kind of a heavy bike. And he wasn't a lightweight either in his picture up there. They estimated his speed at 30-35 by how far he was thrown. It ws just a lot of rolling mass ya know.

For any dfw buellers who may be interested. There will be a memorial ride for Jason leaving Cyclegear in Bedford @ 9AM Sunday . Will be a short ride more than likely. Passing by Jason's site as well as his home right around the corner from where vigil was held.

It was a very respectful ride. Had a wide variety of bikes and riders that all got along well with each other and showed full respect for our fallen friend Jason and kudos to all the stunters in the group for restraining yourself from the stunts on the ride. Proud to be a part of it. RIP JayWay !!
