when my 2005 Buell XB12R was stock i constantly got about 50-53mpg,(driving at 70-75mph) and now with my mods and race exhaust and race map & K&N air filter , I now get 48+ MPG..

everyone and every bike is different ,different mods different engines, weight and different aerodynamics all makes a difference.
which means different milage

100kph is 62mph, just for reference. At those speeds, assuming not too many stop lights or traffic, you can expect around 60mpg if your riding easy on the wide open highway.

I average between 52-55mpg every time on my 80mi round trip to work (mostly highway and backroads; 55-65mph with a few stops and a little in town riding). On the recent 1500mi trip I took my worst tank was 55mpg and my best was 63. Almost all the other tanks were right around 60mpg. This is US gal/btw. I don't know where your from of if they use imp. gal or US. If it imperial gallons multiply my numbers by 1.2

My bike, btw, is an 04 XB12R w/ the race kit (muffler/ecm/k&n). All XB12's should get very similar mpg's unless they have more radical engine mods or a rider that can control their right hand. :D

Harley did a lot of stupid things with these engines but one thing they got REALLY right is the fuel economy. These bikes sip fuel like a scooter. [up]

The ride is spread over 2 days leaving dargaville in the far north of the north island on the 4th august ending the next day in Christchurch south Island (new Zealand) if you didn't know speed limit on open roads here is 100 kph and we work in liters from the metric system lol. Will post when over with some stats. I expect nothing over 10 degree centergrade so this will help the bike I would think

My uly never drops below 50 no matter how hard i beat it. And its much heavier than a 12r so id say near 60
