What ecm/map are you using now? If it's a stock ecm with a stock map, you should Tune or at least burn the race map to it. If its a race ecm or a stock ecm with race map burned onto it, it should be closer... but I would think it's better to tune to get your maps to match your set up.

You can tell the difference between the ECM's by looking at them. The race ECM will have "Race Use Only" printed on it.(on the firebolt its under the front fairing, on the lightning, its under the seat) If it's a race ecm, chances are its was made for the Buell® Motorcycle Co. P&A Exhaust...unless it's a config that EB racing had to fit whatever your current exhaust is (D&D,Drummer,DrummerSS, jardine, Special Ops,Hawk,Force,Stock).
If you have a stock ECM, you should be able to look at the maps in ecmspy if you have a ecmspy cable. It may not always be obvious to tell tell one map from another. There are a few places you can get the cable (ebay --some of these cables had problems, xopti (http://xoptiinside.com/buell_cable_store), American Sportbike (http://americansportbike.com/). The software is free, or was... but there are links to the old free version on this board somewhere.
If you have a stock ecm and want to tune it for your custom exhaust/setup, you can hit up the octopus for some tuning lessons.
