Hi,

New member here. I'm seriously considering getting an xb12x or xb12xt. Are there any issues with any models I need to look out for?

I believe if you do a little searching you'll find this has been covered before. My pre-buy investigation taught me there aren't any bad years but there were some improvements in 2008. OTOH, the prices reflect that as well. '08s and later had some more beef added to the bottom end and I think that's when they went to the lifetime drive belt. '09s and later changed the fan control program and added a comfort kit but I think you can add the comfort kit to any Uly. I don't believe the later fan control map will work on pre-'08s but I could have that wrong. I also think pre-'08 XB12Xs were a lot taller and some would say that's a good thing. I have the taller saddle on my '09 XT and wouldn't have it any other way.
