I started as a 2008 25th anniversary 1125R with the full fairings and complete Eric Buell Racing setup including the EBRacing full exhaust system ($1800), EBRacing ECM, and K&N airfilter...

http://www.buellxb.com/buell_images/6538_20101027162246_L.jpghttp://www.buellxb.com/buell_images/6538_20101027162114_L.jpghttp://www.buellxb.com/buell_images/6538_20101027162029_L.jpg

Then I converted it to the CR frontend

http://www.buellxb.com/buell_images/6538_20110420113549_L.jpg

Then I did the XB12SCG lightning tail swap and most of the American SportBike Carbonfiber kit.

http://www.buellxb.com/buell_images/6538_20110528144339_L.jpghttp://www.buellxb.com/buell_images/6538_20110528144310_L.jpghttp://www.buellxb.com/buell_images/6538_20110528144618_L.jpg

And now I have it complete with painted tailsection to match frame and wheels and would like to make it someone elses. I have bike completely paid off with Title in hand and ready for sale. $15,000 if you want it. TexasRoadRanger@yahoo.com

Basically, this is the finished product but I have the EBRacing Bellypan installed (black) but I haven't gotten a pic just yet. Anyone want to make a reasonable offer? I would like at least $15k but let me know what you think.

Very clean conversion- the best looking 1125 I've seen. It's obvious the amount of $ that went in but unfortunately you won't get much over 1/2 what you're asking.

texasroadranger
09-11-2011, 04:34 PM
Yep, im afraid its gonna be 'willed out' to my grandchildren because there's no way Im letting it go for anything less than $12k.

do yo have any details on the tail conversion, parts needed and how to make the brackets? im interested in doing this and might try for a winter/spring project

texasroadranger

Parts and all will cost almost $800, and no i dont have all my notes handy, but can try and get something together.

njdevils1990
09-12-2011, 05:18 AM
that would be great if you could get something to work off of even if just a parts list.

texasroadranger

Im so busy this week and next week but I will try and get something together. I really need to do a separate thread on it. Titled, 'This is how I did It', lol....

I think if someone made me a reasonable offer on my bike, I could let it go. I would like to get the 1190 but need a GOOD down payment. This post shows everything Ive done. Make offer, I might go for it. Thx

texasroadranger
01-12-2012, 10:44 PM
C818919, ALOT of people would like to see it,lol. I think Im the only brave one to do it. Now, its only a 1 seater... No 2 up on this bike...I really need to get it washed up, waxed, and get some good updated pics.. It really looks sweet when its cleaned up. Believe me when I say I will lose money selling this thing, if I do sell it. Majority of everyone says its 1 of a kind and keep it. With money, parts, time, blood sweat and tears, its well worth $15k.

I have to say, this is definitely the best looking 1125 I've seen. I'm not a big fan of CF, but I'm lovin everything else.

edit:

I started as a 2008 25th anniversary 1125R
all 08's are 25th anniversaries.... just sayin' :D

texasroadranger
01-31-2012, 06:28 AM
Oh yeah, I know. It just makes it sound SO cool when we put the 'title' in front of it :D

Best offer I've had so far is $8K... Anyone else interested????

theoctopus
03-01-2012, 08:09 PM
If someone offered you $8k, you should take it and run. No questions.

njdevils1990
03-01-2012, 08:31 PM
i second that^

texasroadranger
03-02-2012, 06:44 AM
need more for down payment on my 1190RS

theoctopus
03-02-2012, 06:13 PM
You're not going to get more. That's an outstanding offer. I would take it, cut your losses, and move on.

texasroadranger
03-04-2012, 04:40 AM
sorry guys, $8k firm and its yours

freak2180
03-04-2012, 05:17 AM
Like mentions before. If someone offered you 8k take it and run before their high wears off. I love what you have done to it minus all the carbon. I still can't see even the 8k.

theoctopus
03-04-2012, 09:18 AM
sorry guys, $8k firm and its yours

Wait, I thought someone has already offered you $8k. I'm confused.

texasroadranger
03-04-2012, 07:04 PM
Had a guy offer $9k and he backed out because of a divorce pending, and another guy offered $8k but he has to sell his XB12S and a honda before he can get it. Wont know till next month after tax return comes in. If i can find someone else with $8k, its sold. The bank needs 20% down before they lend me $45k for the 1190.

Nuage420b
03-04-2012, 08:08 PM
Sorry forgot to mention the one guy ended up with an R6 and still hasn't been able to sell his buell.

whats wrong freak, you cant afford carbon or just dont like it???? I thought everyone is into carbonfiber??? I looks way too cool...

onelogue
03-05-2012, 11:45 AM
I think 8k is well worth it. Beautiful bike!! S tail is exactly what h would do to an 1125CR

freak2180
03-05-2012, 01:44 PM
So many people are doing carbon that its just not for me. Now if it was carbon with a colored weave like Red, Blue, Or Yellow it would interest me, but just plain ol carbon fiber is not my taste. BTW I can afford it.....I just choose not to.

texasroadranger
03-06-2012, 05:33 PM
Oh ok freak, sorry. I definately don't want to offend ya or anything like that. We have a guy in our group who is deathly against carbonfiber because he says it gives it a 'raw look' and says it looks like sh*t but later found out he didn't like it because of its 'such high price was ridiculous', but then later won a carbonfiber helmet and said it was the coolest. Anyway, Im gonna be 'hopefully' getting the 1190rs carbon edition and hopefully its the bike that its cracked up to be.... It better be worth $43k, thats for sure.... If not, its gettin traded for the BMW S1000RR that I originally wanted.

burgandy25
03-20-2012, 05:19 PM
Ever get a good offer or buyer? Can't wait to hear about the 1190RS!

texasroadranger
03-21-2012, 11:43 AM
Its still for sale....$8k firm. I had a guy here in tx lookn into it but he bought an r6 and haven't sold his other buell. Im entertaining other offers. I've had alot of people who want 'parts' off it but I want to sell the whole thing. And 'yes' it runs, very well at that. I ride it back and forth to work everyday- (100 miles roundtrip)

theoctopus
03-21-2012, 11:51 AM
That's a lot of mileage to add to a bike you're trying to sell: 500 miles a week. What is the odometer sitting at now?

texasroadranger
03-21-2012, 06:01 PM
20k. If the buyer doesnt want it, they dont have to buy it, right?

texasroadranger
03-21-2012, 06:04 PM
I just might end up keeping it because Ive poured WAY too much time and money into it. Besides, I haven't had another bike perform even half of what this one does. I tell people 'Its better than sex'.... because I have turned down many women but will never turn down a ride on this thing....IMO..

fakameanrepresent
03-21-2012, 06:09 PM
Then keep it, and save up more for the 1190.

06-18-2012, 01:41 AM
I would go to $8,200.

texasroadranger
06-18-2012, 02:28 AM
Sorry, Albrecht. Its off market. Its now my track bike and put almost $3000 in it last few weeks with fairings, suspension, new fuelpump, ECM, and other 'nic-naks'.

freak2180
06-18-2012, 04:20 AM
20k

Wow.....My 04 12r/s only has 15k on it........Guess my bike will last forever at the rate I ride it....lol. Glad you decided to keep ol girl with all the work you put into her.

texasroadranger
06-18-2012, 01:07 PM
Yep. She is gonna look KILLER once I get fairings on it. Its in Corpus Christi HD/Buell getting an oil leak fixed right now but will try and update some pics on her soon.

Recent pics of my R with some of the fairings installed. I ended up finally putting a sticker or 2 on it,lol. I still need to install the ohlins steering damper, the right headlight, and the front fairing/windshield. Hopefully in the next few days.

08-05-2012, 06:29 PM
Saw something in another post you said you're going to make it a full track bike. Switching to a chain drive set up?

texasroadranger
08-06-2012, 02:53 AM
no, gonna stay with belt. im not going 'pro' just yet, lol. more of a 1/4 mile track stuff.

Ruff_Russ
08-02-2013, 12:30 AM
Then I did the XB12SCG lightning tail swap and most of the American SportBike Carbonfiber kit.

Texas do you know if when the SCG tail is put on the 1125 is it lower than the stock 1125 tail. I am thinking about doing a tail swap and I am about 6' tall. I want the tail as high as possible. I am not sure is the SCG tail is lower or if I should go with a regular S tail.

wolfo68
08-02-2013, 12:53 AM
Depends on the seat you use with it

Ruff_Russ
08-02-2013, 01:57 AM
so the subframe on all the lightnings were all the same but the seat on the SCG was lower?

texasroadranger
08-02-2013, 02:56 AM
Yes. Thats right. 1 inch lower.
