Hey I just got some off Ebay, they haven't gotten here yet so in order to kill time...Who else has these? Anyone compare them to the CRG's or Oberon's?

I got two of this mirror seperately instead of buying the set, for some reason it's a few dollars cheaper.

I just got a set off e-bay and they are nice. there is a right and left though. they will fit either side but the offset will be wrong on one side.

Offset? Curve of the mirror?

Be careful, I over tightened mine to keep the mirror from spinning and broke the cheap aluminum cast pinch point that hold the ball of the mirror. The paint is starting to chip and peel on the same part so you may need to paint it someday.

Thanks Gator but there is no ball on mine, if it breaks I'll get the expensive ones...but until then...Ebay for me.

The people at MotoDelux store thingy are really nice, I got combined shipping and they are making sure to send a left and a right, If they start carrying turn signals that aren't chrome/silver then I might get some. Very nice people. Especially after I mentioned.......SPC Cruce, Thomas D

I've heard these mirrors are haunted. You'll be riding along, and you'll look in the mirror to see a guy wearing an international university shirt holding a knife right behind you. Creepy stuff!

Whoo Hoo, my mirrorz are up now...yay

http://www.buellxb.com/buell_images/1642_20080726083121_L.jpghttp://www.buellxb.com/buell_images/1642_20080726083150_L.jpghttp://www.buellxb.com/buell_images/1642_20080726083051_L.jpg

They accidentally sent me 2 complete sets (4 mirrors, 2 left 2 right) The other set is still in the packaging, just popped the box open to check and see wtf it was...So if anyone is interested just let me know, and if not, then I have an extra set if anything ever happens to the ones I already got. ( I had a bat fly into my hand on the way to work one morning... )

Happy Riding.

Hows the vibration? I might be willing to take the other set off ya

FIDOSOL
07-26-2008, 03:49 PM
vibrates a little below 2k but other than that I haven't had any problems, and I do mean "a little". Not too much to see out of them, just enough not to be able to read signs out of them.

Damnit, I cant read my email in yahoo and I cant send email in gmail...I hate my works internet..... Everthing sounds good man. But iv only sent money through PayPal never recieved, so im not sure how that end of it works. Im sure they have a help page that explains it somewhere. Ill do it all@ lunch time, $35 even then?

FIDOSOL
07-26-2008, 05:43 PM
Yea, $35 even, enjoy the mirrors, you running stocky lollipops right now? My neighbor asked me where my alien antennae went, she said my bike looks sexy without them, I went out for a bit right in front of my house and popped it up a few times (6-7) mirrors stayed exactly where they should be. I like em' alot. You will have to move your grips in a tad when you put these on, but it's no big deal.

Oh ya i still got the "floppy bunny ears" as I like to call them on there. Once I change those, Flush mount the front blinkers, fender eliminator, and cutting and remounting the back blinkers(If possible) The bike will be right were I want it cosmetically. Does anyone know if anyone sells different colored bulb covers for the blinkers, id really like blue blinkers. Inside its just bulb/orange cover/then outside cover, if I could change that orange one for a blue that would be sweet.

FIDOSOL
07-26-2008, 05:51 PM
Hmm, I'm sure you could find a nice clear one and paint it for your application, blue one may be hard to find...

Oh and me thinks flush mount turn signals for my rear and I'm not sure maybe the front as well...

Thaloc
07-26-2008, 05:58 PM
I really like the back signals, I just want them shorter. Im thinking cutting/shaving and then remounting. If at all possible. And i just got generic flush mounts for upfront, seen them on a pic of a stunt XB on here that LeFox posted and I actually had a spare layin around so, ill be mounting those today I think

FIDOSOL
07-26-2008, 06:01 PM
Post a pic when you get done, maybe I can mount those on my 9s without too much trouble.
After signals I just want the cheese grater eliminator and the low seat, so I'm saving my pennies lol.

I just want the cheese grater eliminator and the low seat

Easily done on your own [up]

Search for fender eliminator ( or similar )

The seat can also be done ( His&Herbuells did his own...same with myself ) All you need is a heavy duty staple gun and an electric turkey carving knife, and some razor blades [up]

FIDOSOL
07-26-2008, 06:08 PM
I don't have the tools for fender eliminator yet, but that's a good idea, and I didn't know about the seat thing...lol nice. Will probably just get the low seat anyways though, I like to have an extra of things that I have to sit on (hence two cheeks). :D
I do appreciate the info though. Check out my chicken strips post and weigh in.

I don't really see anyone being interested but just in case...The original lollipop mirrors that were on my bike are for sale as well. So let me know if you want em'.

Hey man I found flushmount turn signals with blue lenses, the light is still amber but I'm not sure if it blinks amber or blue or what. These are for an R1 so you would have to customize where you want to put them.

Flushmount blue lense (http://www.1tail.com/sa/p/Flush_Mount_Signals_-_Amber_LED_Blue_Lens_Yamaha_YZF_R1_(07-08).htm)

If you find the lense covers the light will not blink blue, just pointing that out, might look cool when the signal isn't on though..

Aww man sweet! Thanks for the find! On a side note I seen a set of cheap pig spotters at my local cycle shop and I think imma pick those up. I think they'll mount up nice, and since i use my eyes more than my mirrors they should be perfect. Sorry Fido im sure someone will buy them tho, ur selling for a great price.

FIDOSOL
07-27-2008, 08:26 PM
It's cool, I'm all for getting what I want at the lowest price possible. Happy for your find, and I hope you find a way to make those flushmounts work for you as well.

I just got mine, Not sure if they are exactly the same but they look identical. I'm a little disappointed at build quality. I guess you get what you pay for, 35 bucks. They were advertised as being glass but i believe they are really plastic as the edges are cracked where the screw holds the mirror lens in place. Oh well at least they work pretty decent and provide a good stable image. Dude how do you see with the things upside down like that???[confused] I tried mounting mine like and all i could see was my elbows. lol

Fidosol, great looking mirrors!
Was it hard to get the pins off the bar? (Those that hold the hand guard)

FIDOSOL
04-03-2009, 08:50 PM
All in all it was easy actually. The plastic pieces on the end of the bars came out with a pair of vice grips and I threw them away because I didn't need them. The rest of the installation was a breeze as well. Let me know if you have any more questions.
