So, the Starbucks at 1195 Springs Center South Blvd, Altamonte Springs, FL. at 11:00 am again? or a little earlier? I rode the route last Sunday, just for something to do, and got stuck in church traffic a little way down the road around 12:00ish. It would be cool to avoid that again. People Really don't see you when they're "with God". I about got hit twice.

I wish I could ride w you guys, Im new to the buell scene and having probs, Any one w a ecmspy that mybe give me a diagnostic on whats wrong.. Any help would be appreciated...the nearest HD dealer that works on buells, I was told was In gainsville.

Wish I could help you but unfortunately I need ecmspy too to flash a race map to my bike . So if there is anyone out there I need your service's also and am willing to pay (as long as it's resonable). I have been looking in to purchasing it myself . I actually emailed someone on here the other day trying to sell ecm spy cable & software but they haven't responded yet . If I do get it I'll hit you up .

Sorry we missed you, Gloom. We must've only missed you by a few minutes. We were standing around B.S.ing for quite a while before we rolled. It was a pretty good ride, But i forgot to snap a picture before we split. Guess I'll have to do that next time. Kinda glad it was a shorter ride, I got rained on pretty good about a mile from home. Did you manage to stay dry snrusnak?

Yeah we were probably there until about 1045 or so. I got drizzled on the last 2 miles or so of my ride home, but managed to pretty much avoid all water, seemed like it had just poured before I got back. I didn't even think about a picture lol, definitely will do next time. Unfortunately I'm going to be ripping the front end of my bike apart to get the forks rebuilt soon so I probably won't be able to ride again until january or february or so. I'm going to do some painting while it's apart...

Was nice meeting you guys and nice to ride with some other buells, and people that know how to ride with others and do so safely...

yeah.. by about 5 min! Sucks. Me and my girlfriend went out last night and didnt wake up till late.. then I remembered and KICKED her out! haha ran up there an you guys were gone. I asked the staff and they said they didnt see any motorcycle guys around. Its too bad, I called the rally and I didnt make it.. hahah that starbucks is only a few blocks from me too..got there about 1055, I think. Was the location good for you guys? we can either change it or do it again.. its up to you guys. I though it would be good bc over here were on the outskirts of the city and country roads really arent that far off.. plus there is stuff to eat around here.. BTW the girls were HITTIN at the coffee place by the time I got there..real cuties up there.

I'd be up for it, maybe even squeeze another ride in with you guys one sunday morning before I rip my bike apart...possibly this sunday, but don't know if I'll be able to for sure. FLaXB9R and I were talking about riding this Sunday possibly. He posted a ride around sugarloaf mtn, it's good riding there. I'm not positive if I can or not yet, but will know later in the week. Whether I ride this sunday or not, it will be my last opportunity to ride until after the new year at some point as I need to do some work on my forks/brakes/etc... If we don't end up riding keep the thread alive and schedule some other rides(maybe a thanksgiving ride like on black friday, my family always does a black friday ride).

Now as far as a florida ride I would be down . I also ran across this that could be a possibility Ozello Trail (http://www.motorcycleroads.us/roads/fl_cr494.html)for a florida ride its just north of Tampa . Looks like a nice ride the description says 50 turns over a 10 mile ride . A sure change from our normal FL roads . This is just a suggestion leave feed back . There are aslo you tube video's if you search Ozello Trail . I don't know how much of a central meeting place it is but definetly looks cool [up]

Hell I dont know that area either but I have been studying the map . I also emailed the directions to one of my other emails so it would be saved in my phones default email . With all that said I'm willing to try it if you are Lol . The two option for meet up that I see for that ride would be either sanford ( 46 & I4 ) or Orlando ( I4 & Turnpike ) . Or fill in the blank __________________ . I'm game reguardless but don't want to get up to early on Sun. the earliest I could probaly do is 9am and would be happy to do that ( Won't miss to much Football )[up] . I also had another idea for a ride just extending the ride from last week to go through Voulisa county around lake monroe . My internet frooze up on me right before I saved when I tried to go back it only had it saved up to 427 & 417 so the only way I could figure to edit was to draw lines so thats why the route goes offroading . I figured you all would get the idea and there was no way I was going to do it all over again . Note I would rather try the sugarloaf ride but trying to throw out some other options .

He made it himself, I just asked him the same question lol. He send me a link to how he did it, it's basically shortened, gutted, and has two baffles in it. It sounds really good. The white bike in the pic sounds good too, I think that one is just all gutted.

Yep, made it myself. Picked up an xb9 muffler for $50 and went nuts with a sawzall. There's a "how to" on it. I tweaked his recipe a bit, and for the money (about $75 including muffler) I couldn't be happier with it.

I'm debating on weather I should gut and mod the extra exhaust I have or to just chop mine to the back chamber wall and add two turn downs . I love the sound of my pipe but I must admit I'm rather jealous of the look of yours . Mine (exhaust) looks like $h!+ ****ting next to your bike .

Start to finish, including dropping and remounting the pipe, it took just under 8 hours. I did have a welder there ready to go, but I had to run around for an hour or so looking for fiberglass. Also changed the oil while I had it on the lift

i have access to an xb9 muffler are the internal pipe diameters the same as the xb12? If so or if it doesn't matter i'll just pick up the 9 muffler. I was thinking hawk but i really want to do it myself.

The 9 muffler doesn't have the "active exhaust valve", so you don't have to worry about that part of it

I should be good for the second sunday after thanksgiving. Just like flaxb9r and I were talking about. That will honestly be my last ride before I rip my bike apart though haha! Don't worry, come next year my bike should be looking better than ever, and have a new exhaust and intake :). And maybe a wideband and tuning, but we'll see how much money I have to stretch...

@Gloom I don't think the pegs look bad but I also don't have to see them everyday . If your getting sick of them I say chuck'em . I think the factory badges should be a definetley add to your bike but I too would wait if I planned on changing color/theme . Just my .02

I'm sort of on the fence right now. I can't let you know for sure until saturday night. Honestly I likely won't be able to go, and probably won't ride anymore until I get my forks rebuilt. I rode over thanksgiving (in the sugarloaf mountain area) and some of the road conditions were pretty poor and I felt pretty unsafe between my forks and oil soaked front brake pads. Probably best for my safety and others safety if I don't ride anymore until I get it all straightened out. On a good note though I found a lot of great roads out there (I rode about 8 hours the one day all in that area).

Yeah the roads in that area were good, but I circled around south of hwy 50 and found some pretty rough roads there lol. Like REALLY rough, although they were pretty twisty for florida. I think I'm going to pass and stop pushing my luck like I have been for the past 2,000 miles and 1 year riding around with my forks needing rebuilt and front brakes soaked in fork oil (making them about half useless). I'll be back riding after the new year sometime.

Here's basically where I rode last weekend, I spent much more time out exploring other roads, but basically took this loop around. Started at eagle rider on sand lake where my brother rented a bike and looped around and returned there. At the corner of highway 50 and avalon road is a 7-11(I think that's what it is), that's a great place to meet up.

I'm going to skip out, I'll be riding again next year :) Have fun!

We need to set a date for a FL ride for early next year . We should do the Ozello trail ride . Google says 2hrs 15mins from my house and roughly 1hr 30mins from tampa . It would definitley have to be an all day thing at least . If yall haven't looked in to it yet google ozello trail . A lot of info on it and even you tube videos . Everyone leave feed back and lets get this set in stone then when can promote it more and try to get as many Buells out as possible .[up]

Not yet :( been busy. I will almost certainly get the forks off this weekend and take them down to the guy that's going to rebuild them the following week. Going to do some other things with the bike over the next month or two, then reassemble. Holiday's are a tough time to do anything productive... Yes we got back from our cruise sunday!

My bike will be down for the count for a few months probably, so I likely won't get to ride with you ATFIII. I am renting a cruiser from eagle rider to ride with my brother some time before the end of the year.

We are responsible riders, we don't do anything crazy, not that we ride 10 under the limit, but I won't ride with someone who is a danger to me. We'd love to have more people to ride with! Maybe the more that join in the more it will motivate me to get my bike back together faster lol. I'm really starting to learn the areas around orlando and have a couple pretty good routes to go on...

I'm in Sanford . It only takes me about 30 min to get out your way down 46 . Do you know of any good roads/routes to ride out your way ? I don't know if you saw the sugarloaf mt. ride we had posted in this thread but it's a real nice ride and I think it is worth the trip . It's in Lake County some of the best roads I've ever seen in FL.

I'd possibly be in for bike week. I'm not a huge fan because you don't really do any riding, it's more sitting in traffic then sitting around. But it's all good, we'll see (it is a motorcycle event, after all).

I have spent the past 4 months or so rebuilding the front end of my bike (powder coated some parts, replaced some parts, fixed some parts, etc.). It's pretty much back together, I hooked up the brake on tuesday, and will finish up hopefully tonight then can "test" ride it to work tomorrow. As long as nothing bad happens then I can ride sunday.

FlaXB9R just loves to give me crap for "slacking". I just don't hardly have any free time so it appears as if I'm slacking, even though I'm not :)

^That place is fairly new. It's about 1/4 mile from where I'm currently sitting :). I work right down the street from it (nothing like trying to get work done while you can hear cars and bikes drag racing all day)...

Supposedly it's a nice place, they have a drag strip (1/8 mile IIRC), high speed go karts, and apparently do something with bikes... I haven't been though.

BIKE NIGHT REVIEW: I really thought i had seen it all until the scooter gangs started showing up ready to drag race. it kinda blew my mind. [confused]
i showed up at 8:30 which apparently was kind of early being that there were only a handful of people and bikes there. had a few people that ride Harley's admire my bike and say at least we found someone with good taste here(haha). at about 9:00 they started the drag runs which was fun to watch i saw some really good runs. they had really good looking girls doing a bikini bike wash however i did not do the standard creepy thing every other guy with a camera did. they had beer and food but i don't drink and ride. and they had a DJ who blasted tasteless music. overall by the ending of he night the lot was over crowded with Jap bikes that were 30 feet long. it wasn't a bad time i think some people need to start showing up with different styles of bikes.

How's the complex overall, I have yet to go there. I've been wanting to try out the go karts. I think you can pay like ~$150 for the day to run them.

The Complex itself is Large I Didn't get to see all of it , i saw the go kart track and would totally rent one out for the day at a price like that, I am also going to keep my eyes on other upcoming events, like the drift comps and such.

That's some funny ish right there . What were they running 30 second 1/8 miles ? Right around the corner form my neighborhood there is a trailer park with a scooter gang/group . Their scooters are all tricked out and lowered, extended, with radio's and all . Very entertaining sight if you ask me . I've also seen the scooter gangs/groups in Daytona during bike week .

There's a kid on my street who has a turbocharged scooter, it'll go like 80mph it's pretty scary haha. But yeah I don't understand why people invest thousands into a scooter that's worth practically nothing. Doesn't make sense. You can usually buy a decent bike for what a scooter costs.

Seriously though....it is done but it isn't. I just finished everything. It won't crank now. :( I hooked it up to the charger hopefully it's just a dead battery. When I started it last weekend it was really weak, but fired. When I went to do it today I turned the key to on then flipped the kill switch to run and the fuel pump started to prime then stopped then I heard some clicking noises and now it does nothing. Lights and gauges work... The only thing I've changed electronically since last weekend when it ran was I hooked up the turn signals. I don't think that could cause any harm lol.

I don't think my trickle charger will charge the battery from dead, will it? I guess I gotta take it to autozone to get it charged?

I can check the battery with a voltmeter right? To see if it's dead? I just set the voltmeter to the symbol that is a V followed by a solid line with a dashed line under it. Then connect to the battery and it should read like 12 volts or higher, and if it's less then that means it's dead....right? I'm electronically retarded...

Yeah, we do have some nice roads out my way. I live off of 27 south of 50, just behind Lake Louisa St Park. My daily routine includes 20-30 minutes of the back roads after I get home from work :D (would be longer, but I'm already pushing it as it is. Damn and that is where we were riding Sunday too . I don't know if you saw the route we took but we rode 561 to 27 and ate at the Tijuana Flats on 50 so we were in your neck of the woods . This is the route we rode and probably the most common route we have rode for the Orlando meets . Sugarloaf Mt. There's some good roads south of 50 in that area too. Sort of in between me and him. I have only been out there twice but seems like some good riding out there, and a little more out in the middle of nowhere.

Oh man, you guys rode my old route to school! I took some classes out at LSCC in Leesburg. That was much nicer than taking 19 up. I'd do that again too if you guys are up for it. Hell, I'd go all the way into Mt. Dora for some Sushi at the Mt. Dora Sushi Co. ;)

I've ridden the 561/33/565 loop a bunch too, but there's not much out there and it's more straights than I would like. But there's typically not much traffic and there are some decent twisties here and there.

The Old HWY 50 route between Clermont and downtown Wintergarden is really nice, but it's short. Maybe we could incorporate that into part of a longer ride though. 561 headed north from my place is pretty nice. Could take that across 50, around lake Minneola and pick up Old 50 from there. Maybe I'll scout around some this afternoon. I didn't get my fix in on Sunday, and last night was just the ride home from work. I could use some alone time with me and the girl ;)

That 565 turns into logging rd/center grade road and looks like it's got some twists to it (on google maps). I always end up turning onto lake erie road and heading back east though...

Yep, it's dirt all right. The pavement actually stops right where The Van Fleet Trail crosses 565, before you even reach logging road. I didn't see it comming; was barely able to stop before the pavement ran out on me :P. Lake eerie was way too bumpy for a nice ride. I could hardly see straight on a couple stretches. Bummer, cause there's a lot of nice twisties and its pretty quiet out there.
