I'm curious if anyone has had any experience with trying to have the
body pieces (plastic) of their 'bolt painted. I love my bike... just
not so much in love with the color. I can't decide if it's worth trying
to have the plastics painted or if I should get some aftermarket
fiberglass stuff and have that painted.

I'm pretty sure that I can save a lot (~$1000) by just having the
existing pieces painted.. but will paint stick to this stuff very well
or is it just going to look like trash in a few months if I try it?

I guess option 3 would be to get a full set of plastics from Buell that would be the color I want... (or shop EBAY and keep my fingers crossed)... either way I think this would probably be more expensive than the painting option above..

As long as you prep the surfaces properly and use some adhesion promoter, the paint stays on just fine.

paint, exchange or a good deal on ebay or any other site/forum.
